Honestly started this drama for NKM and not disappointed.. I have been his fan since Remember where he was the villain.. the plot is good and I guess the soft villain says something here like never judge a book by it's cover.. if they come face to face also he might not be recognized and he's sooo gooood at it! Every marriage has secrets like how Taeju is keeping something from his wife pre the child death.. could be to keep her safe but again not yet decided!

@Sometimes1 I understand that people sometimes overreact in relationships. My issue isn't that the FL made a mistake—it's how the writers chose to get there.
For someone who's been established as educated, competent, and emotionally mature, this felt like the show forcing conflict rather than letting it develop naturally. "People do irrational things" can explain almost any scene, but that doesn't automatically make it compelling writing.
I'm also aware she'll probably reflect and grow later. That still doesn't change my reaction to how this conflict was introduced. Character development is great, but I don't think every romance needs to rely on a preventable emotional outburst to create drama.
So I think we're just judging the writing differently. You see it as a realistic flaw. I see it as an overused trope that undercuts an otherwise strong female lead.

I think you've completely misunderstood my comment and are arguing against a point I never made.
At no point did I say divorce isn't stigmatized in South Korea, nor did I compare Korean and American divorce rates. I didn't even mention statistics. So I honestly don't understand why you responded with a wall of numbers as if that somehow addressed what I wrote.
My comment was about **the writing**, not Korean society.
A story can absolutely portray a society where divorce carries stigma. That isn't my issue. My issue is when writers take otherwise mature, intelligent, capable characters and suddenly make them behave irrationally just to manufacture conflict. That's a writing choice, not an unavoidable cultural reality.
The male lead checking on his ex-mother-in-law doesn't automatically have to become a source of childish jealousy. Mature adults can have complicated past relationships and still communicate. If the writers choose to drag that into an unnecessary misunderstanding for several episodes, I'm free to call it lazy or overused storytelling.
You're treating my criticism of a fictional drama as if I was criticizing an entire country's culture. Those are not the same thing.
So instead of responding to what I actually said, you created an argument about divorce rates, individualism, and Korean traditions that has nothing to do with my point. Statistics about marriage and divorce don't determine whether a particular plot device is well written.

One reason many of us hate rom coms are because they try to pan the FL as some desperate wannabe no matter how well she is (educated, talented etc) FL has a really good character to pan out but instead she gets childish over thinking about the ML checking on his ex-mother in law. Divorce and moving is not something of a foreign concept anymore! Why does that have to be a flaw? Like, we don't know the reason of their divorce. They both look mature enough to actually move on from their past but now they'll make this a big deal going ahead. Drama is just a word to call it you don't need to make every series a DRAMA! Please don't change the flow of the story just so you can't compensate some society believed aspects. Many of us love KDrama because you are very close to reality and not stuck on old beliefs etc.. don't let us go back on THAT!
I never got over Han Seojun.. and now this. The drama is a dive into reality on how the surroundings of a kid can shape them. Like, in heart all of us thought she killed teh grandma, like seriously the cinematography, the acting, the story is TOP NOTCH You did bad with In gang!!! The new psycho... umm I don't want to think much but it seems like like he is a psycho by choice and a real one at that. SO yes, this drama doesn't maybe have a happy ending after alllllll
Why is the rating so less, I mean whyyy! I know it can be way confusing, but it's so satisfying to watch the corrupt people pay the price of their deeds!
The point here is not how every story unfolds after they do the deed. It's more like 3 con artists using their talents to make the corrupt people suffer. When a patient was mishandled in a hospital, it isn't easy going to another since you need to understand what happened and as we can see she's poor and hence not being cared of. They arrange for a new hospital where she can be well treated and pay them off since the first hospital doesn't care about Jae-hee. They are not dragging the episodes with all those scenes of her surgery instead focused on the main cast. It's difficult to wrap around but basically they're highlighting what kind of a genius is she and well the backstory should clear everything else up
The process of cooking is so mesmerizing. Being a pure vegetarian, I usually skip the cooking or food scenes if it's too much, but the story is just so beautifully portrayed

Yes, the main point is basically the drama was a bit hurried, maybe they'll show everything soon hopefully. Dramas have been so hurried up so it's like quick to judge. Let's hope for best!
Idk what to even say. Like what is this.. why are being soft on bad people. 9 and 10 wwere like WTF is going on!!!! Like suddenly he possesed and then what like it's very indirect nothing makes sense in Ep10, she lost powers and all of a sudden summons... like what is happpening!!!!
The drama is good and all, but the chemistry between FL and Q1 doesn't match up. No hate to the team, but they just don't vibe and it loooks tooo forceful. I hate the husband, that's a 100% sure! But I think they both could have better chemistry than the guard! No offense to the hero, he's the best! But there is not a lot of tension and I have absolutely no idea why is Jang Taera there? Like she is just a puppet who follows her mother but other than that no strong personality. Overall as an avid drama watcher, this is good... but still it could've been better!
