You completely misunderstood the point of the OP, I read the conversations and by the statement I quoted above. She said DL gained SOME popularity which is a fact. But you said that the OP talked about how DL "was very much popular" before Ashes of Love which clearly the OP did not even say.

I agree with how Xu Feng looks at Jin Mi especially when they are spinning in the air wow, the chemistry is exploding!!!

Also, especially in Episode 46 of AOL, when the bells of the OST starts playing (you know the scene on what happened to Xu Feng) , my gosh my heart want to tear itself into pieces haha.

The background music also when Xu Feng was revived from the dead and become a Phoenix after dark/ Demon Lord.

Then on the final battle scene of the Heaven and Demon Realms, the background music really gets who will watch it hyped up!

Ashes of Love is one of my fave xianxia drama I just finished it, maybe you can try and see if you will come to like it.
