ikkkrr she is like that annoying lil sister who you know has a good heart but still annoying and you still love her, I haven't come across any character who does things that come off as annoying but i don't feel annoyed by it, and rather find it all so funny

if you are referring to the recent episode when she keeps calling for her mother, he came in with the emperor and CX both, CX immediately goes to her as it clicks with him what's happening, CX is already there calling her XiaoYao again and again and displaying a very intimate familiarity, what could any other person really do at this point, Jing doesn't know her story he can't convince her that it's not her mom, he could not have acted in any way but to remain calm and get a clear idea of the situation...XY displays a very fragile mental state at the moment so he can't really barge in and do something without knowing what is happening

i was one of those people assuming they were cousins but not because confusing gege with actual brother, but since many novel readers told they were cousins and then i and i think many others too overlooked that XY's mother called the CX's granny "master" in the 1st ep,

Yes i went back to the very first episode, rewatched it and i can't believe i missed that detail where her mother calls the granny "master", I think i went into the drama assuming them to be cousins since i had kept reading the comments before the drama aired that they are cousins, i remembered that detail and overlooked what was actually presented in the drama.

I do understand the time setting and it was common back then, hell it's even common in many cultures today as well. but like you it really doesn't sit right with me.....I can ship myself with him but not her

I believe they mostly coddle her more because they already lost A Nian...it is very human and common to let the other kid(esp a younger one) do whatever they want and not scold them, give them twice the love...it does turn them into a brat but then again it's the parents responsible and not to mention she's a princess...

i dunno i just took it in jest...i just kept laughing through that scene...A Nian makes me laugh and not annoy me lol
