He banged someone else and that was the consequence of his actions
What are you saying? In the first episode the ML clearly says that he wasn't fully aware of how it happened. It was technically rape if you think about it.
He divorced the first wife because the mother in law got thrown into jail for confronting the lying woman. She…
yes, according to him, the SFL planned everything, she got pregnant and then miscarried and blamed the miscarriage on the FL's mother, which was why the ML had to marry her and join his father's company, because it was his father who was essentially orchestrating everything, kind of.
I want to add that we all know it is the OST that made Ashes of Love what Ashes of love is today! A lot of similar vein shows have come and gone but the music in this show truly pulled so much of the weight!
good ending this time pls! this 2fl actress must have great mgt bc she's in everything
The 2nd FL as a 2nd FL already has had 10 released projects in this year alone as of now. That is certainly a lot of work. It is in fact likely to only increase, this year.
I see you don't know much about IU but that's cool
I am sorry!!! I meant it with the best intention. It is relatable and emulatable. STRONGLY RECOMMEND! Please give it a shot. The first episode is the most boring but the show only gets better.
The ML deserved every single thing that happened to him. The actor who played the ML made the character his own. As a viewer one could actually feel the pain the despair from the scren, it was that good. This made me realise how important the actor's conviction is towards his character, and what a huge difference it makes towards the perception for the viewer.
I personally like these two together, I have seen so many of there work. Even the most toxic of stories I tend to watch simply because it is them working together.
Yes, thanks for saying all this . Now , people will come after you for this . If you look at it all the men in…
You have valid points. However, I would like to say the drama was particularly catered for a family audience and not just female viewer. I come from a South Asian background so I often see what 'true' obsession for a child based on what genitals they were born with can look like. In real life I have seen sisters who were more academically qualified having to leave their education and dreams for a sibling (because he was born with a penis) despite being utterly good for nothings at 'best' merely paying bills. I guess it makes sense that you find parents selling their house for a 'daughters' education to be 'obsession' because in certain evil driven societies it isn't the norm. However, assets are accumulated for the purpose of being utilised during the time of need. Forexample: when the ML and FL sold their ONLY source of livelyhood for their good for nothing son (who was irresponsible accademically poor, got married to the family nemesis's daughter and right uptill going to jail was only looking easy money questionable options for income). Regarding the first boyfriend's mother, again (sorry to keep bringing this up, probably because of personal experience as a lawyer seeing such cases were I am from), very typical of a South Asian mother who had very little life but her son, primarily steming from the lack of attention and care from her husband, hence, they form almost an incestuous level of control over their son (which was very obvious during the dinner scene). This is a very common and realistic problem in certain societies. There truly wasn't any other option but for them to break-up because, if the first boyfriend had soured his relation with his mother in the long run it wouldn't have ended well for them either resentment would likely to build, which would be worse. If parents disapprove of a relationship and your are still economically dependent on them than it requires some very strong backbone for the disapproved relationship to continue, the truth was the first boyfriend did not have a strong enough backbone.

It is a drama at the end of the day, if they made it without the coincidences that you mentioned, it would turn into an 'gritty' 'art-house' too painful to watch for everyone (other than the truly nihilistic majority don't actually like that as entertainment). The realism in itself was sufficient to keep the audience entertained and interested. Regarding the FL's father treatment towards the ML, that was actually realistic, good fathers should test the level patience a potential son in law has, it is in fact extremely important. After all you ar not a good father to a daughter if you don't.
It has comidic elements, but there is drama as well.
I liked it. The reviews, are from the people who disgruntled because they were too invested in the characters, particularly the male lead, and the treatment towards him in the plot. I would term the reviews as angry, not necessarily negative. Infact I would go so far as to say this as part of the drama's credit. Once they calm down it will be fine.
A soul that no longer wants to live in its own body and a wandering soul that desperately wants to live but its body is dead. What a poignent reminder that life is meant to be lived and wars have cut so many lives so cruelly short.
