They are so cute! "Why does my forehead hurt?" "Secret weapon." And later WZQ asks to use his left hand because he is worried he will block LYX's face. This guy has a silly laugh 1 minute, but is completely professional and considerate the next.

Ohmygosh! This is your 1st drama with him?! Serendipity is his weakest story, unfortunately. I think that BTS he was still in character. He is initially reserved, but once comfortable is a affectionate puppy. With LYX, he is more if a big bro to her in real life. Very encouraging (there's a part in the wrap up special that he shows her how to layer and build up emotions) and complimentary.

Sorry, I am a gushy fan from "The Imperial Coroner" . If you have time, it's his break out role. It was filmed 5 years ago, acting is less mature, but it was the dark horse of the year. Excellent story telling, Part 2 is coming out this year.

But if you want to know what he can really do with romance and flirting, "Once We Get Married" it's a quick guilty pleasure that will deliver all the sugar high. Chemistry galore. "The Love You Give Me" is the same CP, but with an adorable kid that is the spitting image of him (the one that played young Lu Chang). His character is very energetic.

For meticulous quality cinematography, storytelling, and acting, "The First Shot" and "The Embers" are excellent. Ep 16 & 26 of Embers will 🥺.

"Chase the Truth" is a fun action drama. He's very versatile.

Exactly! Did you watch the 1st Imperial Coroner? There's a BTS of him being a giggly mess as she's trying to CPR him. 🤣 My search skills are failing me right now....

He's serious when working but a hyperactive, curious kid all other times. 🤣

They look better in the BTS. I don't know how this director films. WZQ is so thin and YSZ's deep dimples really show better without filters.

I don't think you're wrong 😅. I liked the before (micro-glance at her lips) and after parts of the kiss more. I agree the other one was more about sweetness. And I had already melted even before the kissing.

He's always been very respectful of his female acting partners. For example, in the "Don't let Xin Qi sleep" scene in The Love You Give Me, if you look super closely, his hands never touched her. But he's able to convey the correct emotions while making his colleagues comfortable. I think that's why he has so many multiple collaborations.

I agree. Dad was a stranger. How many scenes together did they have? Any overwrought emotions is scenary chewing and not in line with the character.

If the drama didn't delete WZQ's scenes, then it wouldn't feel that way. It's a pity that the main CP's hard work wasn't shown.

At least we got to see some beautiful calligraphy from him. Not many actors can do that. And that last kiss scene in Ep 37 was my favorite of his for its emotional depth.

Mom's romance was in the script, likely filmed, but all cut out.

It was what he said and how he looked at her after that made it for me. I don't really care for most kisses in drama land, but if the overall scene that can convey a certain emotion for me, then that's the sprinkles on top.

The best one of this drama and can be put up against any other drama is the last one of Ep 37. That's 10 years of history, going through life and death together, letting the other see their vulnerability, and equal support.

-"Are you crying?"
- Tears streaming, shakes head, helpless smile.
- "I've never seen you cry before" (Her own eyes turning red and crying, full of joy)
- She looks at him so tenderly. There's a sweet little pout as she caresses his face.

I think if they didn't delete so many of his scenes and added so much filler, this drama may have been not the worst. He acted well, I love his tears, especially Ep 37 with the adorable happy tears. And he got to show off his calligraphy, which is very rare in drama land.

Besides the malicious editing and rhythm, this director's style is a terrible match for him. Director likes wide shots, but WZQ excels at eye movements and layered micro-expressions. Close-ups are a joy to watch for those details.

The "revenge kiss". Usually, I don't care for this type of thing but it was hawt. He's a calm, practical, always 10 steps ahead person. Man can even control his tears - they are allowed to sit there but he commands them not to fall. 😂 But for her, he is willing get crazy and go to hell with her. That bite 🔥

The next morning, bite mark still on his neck, sweetly making her food.

His happiness tears are just adorable. Like a puppy, smiling and shaking his head. He really never let her see him cry the other 3 times. I love how she got emotional too and looked at him with such tender eyes. That hug was 🫠🫠 And the 😘 😁. This passion! Their 10 year history, all they've been through, the tears - great kiss. 🫠🫠🫠

Ep 37 was 🔥🔥🔥 and worth it. Especially the last scene, it's probably my favorite of the drama. Full of emotional depth and passion.
