I watched this episode yesterday but could not write a review because I wasn't in the headspace for that.
Before ep 4, I would have accepted a redemption arc for Ming but after ep 4, I know that I would never accept nor want Ming for Joe even if the show ends that way. This is not love. Love would not make you bash someone's head with a bat and then chain him to a couch out of a twisted form of jealousy. There is a difference between love and obsession and there is also a difference between love and possession. Love will not break you nor leave scars on you.
Ming does not want to be alone. He's been enjoying using Joe as a Stand-In for Tong. He literally only fucks him from the back and only shows him affection from the back. I don't know in what universe this behaviour is deemed acceptable or seen as love but in my world, this behaviour would put someone in a cell.
This would have been an opportunity in the BL world for a show to have educated the fandom about abuse, recognising it and how to get away from it, but as usual, the show is gonna have a fairy-tale ending. What a joke!
The actors are doing a marvelous job but it doesn't change the fact that Joe should have gotten away from Ming. Ming took everything from him. Joe now have a second chance at Life and should enjoy having a mom, learn to make better decisions and get far away from Ming and his toxicity. He can literally find work anywhere else but Joe is already asking the wrong questions and Joe would end with a reformed abuser.
I hope the young ones in this fandom understands that these kind of behaviours are not acceptable and should never be romanticise because I know that we have some as young as 9-10yrs old watching these shows.
I know what you mean. It's hard to find a show that is that funny and exciting as this one with an ensemble of…
True. Me too. I'm watching My Stand-In and Wandee Goodday and I'm not even judging anyone at all. Previously, a show like Ny Stand-In will hurt me and i will be angry at the characters but I'm having fun with it.

Yes, I'm talking about the comment section in a good way. I can't find any interest in shows and there aren't anyone to laugh with and talk about the shows all day like we used to.
I think Playboyy broke me. Why can't anything hold my interest for long no matter how excited I am about ep 1 of the show? Or is it this comment section that broke me?๐ฅน๐
I agree๐ฏ. It's what I said๐น๐น. I hardly pity or feel sorry for any of them at the moment.
Lol. All of them are understandable.
Tong may he an asshole but he's got his priorities straight. He's after wealth so he dived right now. Now, he's living the life and making sure nothing blocks his way. He thinks he can now do whatever he wants cos he's about to fall into wealth.
Ming is in love with an illusion. We've all been there. He loves Tong but he doesn't know the man he loves. That same man went after his sister right from the beginning. He's coveting something he can't have but is now using someone else. I won't have a problem with Ming even if he uses Joe as long as he is honest about it. The problem isz he treat Joe like trash then sends mixed signals. He's apathic one minute but jealous the other while longing for another man.
Joe is just weak and pathetic due to love. He would accept anyway he's treated by Ming as long as he can have a piece of him and will keep believing in that delusion that Ming will return his feelings.
Ming is just something: --- Falls in love with Tongs back--- Tries to be close with Tong knowing he's his sister's…
Get this. He fell in love with Joe's back that has Tong's face. Isn't he foolish? He knows Joe is Tong's Stand-In, yet does not even know that back belongs to Joe ๐น๐น

Sorry. I must be the only one enjoying this show and having a laugh over it.
Priorities!
