Yes, i agree these series are needed to portray real life situations. This is why such series should end with the victim finding freedom. Turning an abuse into a love story with happily ever after is just reaffirming the real life toxicity which we actually need to help people from.
I have seen people who were killed by their spouses in real life. Most of them couldn't get away. They were too weak and would always accept the apologises every time their spouses abuses them. Most of them cannot recognise that they are being abused. It's psychological and that is why a show like this would have been very good in educating the fandom. The abuse rarely stops. Not until the victim becomes a shadow of themselves and some wind up dead.

I agree. I can fix him and I can change him is one of the most life destroying decisions ever. Luckily, I learnt that early in my teens, so I made sure to never ever try that nonsense ever again.
