Nah, not just you. I always find an excuse to avoid them during my university days. In my country, there is another one called "devil's basket". I hated them as people were always giving impossible challenges like remove your pant/bra, kiss a random person from the crowd, ask a girl/guy to touch a certain part of another person's body etc or they'll ask you to pay a big amount of money. The only time I enjoyed spin-a-bottle was when I played with close friends and we had an understanding not to demand for anything foolish or distateful.
I kept thinking to myself. Me: You know how YT likes to censor things, could these blurred parts be a part of YT censorship? 🤔 If so, is there a possibility of the unblurred parts existing somewhere on the other viewing apps like Telegram, HITV and co? Although, I won't say I don't have a personal life, I can say I mostly work and come home to watch TV. Now, my favourite past time is catching up on airing BLs and reading comments on here. What I love the most is exchanging banter with some people here who have become the happiest part of my life.

To be honest, I think with time, BL improved way more than it was 5yrs ago, and with improvement came improved taste and higher expectations from the viewers. Nowadays, BLs have evolved. Although still lacking in some ways, the quality and content are way better than it was. People now expect better quality and plots. So there's nothing wrong with having higher expectations for a show.
What is wrong however, are people hiding their hatred for a particular actor(s) and companies under the umbrella of "expecting quality show". Another thing, is having unrealistic expectations for Thai BLs while comparing them to western TVs.
I remember when I first transitioned from straight Korean/Chinese/Japanese shows to Thai BLs, everything was strange to me, most especially the acting, editing, sounds and language. What helped me was to not compare them to other countries as every country is unique and have their own way of acting. After watching BLs for a while, I can say that I now prefer Thai BLs over every other country for personal reasons. If I am to stop watching BLs, I can stop for every other except Thai. If you check the comment sections for BLs, Thai BLs receives more criticisms than others.
Not to digress, again there is nothing wrong with not liking a show. There is also nothing wrong with giving constructive criticism about a show. What is unacceptable however is attacking an actor's looks, their loved ones, attacking the producers and accusing them of things just because you don't like their show and spewing hate speech. These are a No No.
