Okay so i think just as you said jiwoon has embraced hwi's gender as a man. I dont think he will have any problem to embrace hwi as a female too when she reveals her identity as female.

We know somehow at the end it is gonna be revealed that she is a female but the characters dont know that as of now.
No matter how much the CP delays the marriage she will have to go through it one day. She might have delayed it further too but her grandfather is now taking major interest in it so she will have to go through it.
Plus it will make her position as the future king stronger producing an heir is other thing but just the fact that CP is getting married is gonna make her more powerful. Plus one of tge reasons can be jiwoon too.

I dont think her character is shady. She is described as an innocent clumsy girl who falls in love with the CP. And in manga too she truly loved the king/CP, she didnt have any affair with anyone.

I think yes, she will become the king first and then the truth will come out that is how the story is gonna unfold. And maybe in next episode jiwoon will know that she is a woman and also his first love.

It is not as easy you think.
The first and more powerful reason is her maternal grandfather, that man is ready to do everything in his power to put his grandson on the throne.
Second if she abdicates the throne she will become more vulnerable to her enemies.
Third her mother, she wanted her daughter to survive.
Fourth, even she wishes to be loved by her father and mostly wants to make a place in his heart that she is capable to handle the country knowing that he was
also the one who wanted her to killed because she was a female twin.

This drama is a historical romance drama basically telling the story about the woman who had lost her identity as one trying to regain it with the help of her lover. Thus, this drama is going to focus less on the politics side and more on the romance.
And why do people think abdicating the throne is an easy thing?? No, it is not. Her enemies will literally kill her once she does that. Leaving the palace just to live her life is like calling upon death wish on herself and people related to her. The reason why she is doing it is to "SURVIVE" just like her mother wanted. It is other thing that she will eventually leave the palace to live her life with jiwoon once the truth of that she being female will come out.
And i think they are handling the gender bender thing quite well. It shows that love has no limits not even gender matters to some people when they deep feelings for the person they love.
Lastly, i think the fun/comedy part in this drama is over now. Hereon it is gonna get more angsty and will focus more on the dynamics of jiwoon and hwi's relationship and other realtionships so it is gonna be a slow burn.

why does it matter to people actually if he has more makeup?? Let the man breathe!! And have they really seen rowoon bare faced, that man is perfection.

Okay, but this drama isnt going to follow the traditional saeguk route. The questions about the manners towards royalty, i get it, but this drama is a work of fiction, 80% inclined towards romance and is most importantly not true. Also about ML talking back to CP it is how his character is written to break the walls that CP has built around her. Even the actor playing the ML role has acknowledged it in the interview saying that his character isnt afraid to talk back to the CP who is the absolute power of that time. So, these things are gonna happen throughout the drama, pondering over it is actually meaningless.

It isnt a traditional saeguk drama it is a fusion saeguk with tilting more to the romance. And yes ML's character is written that way so. Even the actor confessed in an interview that his character isnt afraid to talk to the Crown Prince who is the absolute power of that time. Also the reason why CP let's go some of his actions is because she harbours feelings for him otherwise he would have surely been punished.

Imo the ring is more symbolic because it has a pink lotus flower in it which is a symbol of Jiwoon and Dami's love as he had given her the name "Yeon Seon" which means lotus flower. The other reason can be that it is given by hyun.

I feel the same. The fight was so realistic. Also the fact that
he didnt shy while telling that the wounds are hurting him i really liked it. I am actually liking how they are portraying Jiwoon, giving him a humane personality who isnt afraid to show how he feels just to act masculine.

But then i think it is jiun's promise that he made to hwi earlier that he will always be by her side when she needs him.
Also as her cousin is a good friend of jiun and mostly all three of them are of same age they got bonded quickly.
Lastly, i think it is the way hwi/dami knows that jiwoon is the same boy she once had feelings for and most probably still has, she lets him get close to her also jiun's spontaneous personality is one of the major thing too
