I've never watched a dating show, whether Korean or Chinese show that made me so excited each episode like this season of heart S9 china. I've said before that KaiYi and YiHeng is my fav couple right? But do you know normally on a show when a couple is formed eps. in the early episodes, it somehow boring (but you just keep supporting because they're your favourite), it's not light that this season, like you just love the moments.
Next, HeWen and Yue'er. This couple are version of eachother and in the long run if they don't find a balance, they'll clash...real clash! I just had the time to watch the watch alongs of each episode where cast members from former seasons and present season come out to react to the main part. In episode 2 watch along, Bohan said the remaining episodes is like a comet crashing into earth and HeWen said, the calm before the storm which Yue'er reacted to as 'me?'. This two together is like they've not let go of whatever happened in the house, what happened? It's tiki taka, at the same time it's like 'cant stand eachother'. Then I thought, okay maybe they didn't end up together. Then I watched the episode 3 watch along, HeWen, KaiYi, Bohan and Xilun. I noticed something initially in ep2 WA, Yue'er smiles cutely whenever Xilun comes onscreen, but seeing him in the Ep 3 WA, he looks pale and thin..and when talking about Yue'er, he's still melancholy as if he didn't get the girl. When they were explain the theory of stars to HeWen and KaiYi, it still seems like he's in the moment.. like a stray star that still didn't get near the moon. Now I'm confused, who ended up with Yue'er at the end of the show??
And through these two Watch Alongs which Bohan was in, he didn't react much to Yue'er, I mean intimately, he was more like a spectator.. mostly reacting to HeWen and asking how is he now? How does he feel when he sees those clips now and even online?
Anyways, I'm looking forward to more part tomorrow😅
Even as a girl, this season is a paradise♥️🥹🥹 Especially, for those who have intentionally or unintentionally chosen KaiYi and Yue'er as their favourite cast, both the love line and friendship; so no concern of screen time issue or heart signal.. at least for now. Now the real enjoyment is loving KaiYi's sweet bubbly and adorable character, next moment Yue'er's academic vibe and depth concerns, another moment loving Mengmeng's smile and boldness which you know is an act not to miss an opportunity, or Sisi's cute snippet talk! You'll be like wow, Sisi I didn't know you can talk?😅😂.. All these, at the same time swooning to their BEAUTY! Diverse style, beauty, elegant blah blah This is the first season where you love every female casts, although you may favour your favourite over others, but still! I hope the remaining episodes will keep on giving me smiles 😊😊😊
There are some letdown but this season is still interesting and also an inside joke for old Heart Signal China fans if you've been watching from maybe the beginning or catched up in the middle seasons. You'll see some casts character and looks are identical to some of the cast of previous seasons. Like Cui Kaiyi, bubbly and adorable like Duoduo (S8), Zhang Yuilo, awkward and simple like Fang (the doctor that ended up with Lanlan from S8).
For this season, my fav is KaiYi.. and maybe Sha Yue'er (just that guys attentions towards her is drawing aggro to her😅, well I like her bcos of a stable personality, although sometimes you'll see how nervous she is which reminds you that 'ha, she's a young girl', she's the Lanlan of this season).
Anywaysss.. I want my ending couple to be Yiheng and KaiYi! I hope soooo🙏🙏. I love SunBoHan before, I thought he was this introvert and gentle guy until he got fixated on Sha Yue'er, coming off too strong. He should calm down, and approach her gently.
Another ship of mine (ghost ship though😂😂😂) is KaiYi with Hewen, but I don't think they even have interest in talk to eachother not to talk of a loveline😅
HeWen is good for Sha Yue'er though, the #powercouple.
There's also Sisi, Mengmeng, also the two blue room couple. They're interesting, just hope it won't go down the drain as the episode goes on like season 8 did last year, although LanLan and Fang was my favourite.
If you want to watch this show, do it, if you're in for slice of life and slow burn. Don't care about rating. Generally, TV shows and variety shows have low ratings in Korea, most times it's being shown on the production broadcasting station and the time slot it broadcasted might not be the time most citizens are less busy. Shows like single inferno are mostly broadcasted or released on Netflix and ott platforms which rating is calculated in another way.
Back to HS, I'll cover my face and still say GyuRi was my favourite, even from beginning to the end, I was a ship of SeoWon and Her... But Welp, it is what it is😅.. happy WooandYu couple😭😂

I've dropped this show since episode 8, since the time they came back from Japan. Also the time when rumours of GyuRi was flying around. The moment I saw that I was like, damn, they'll cut her off or if she has anyone in the endgame, there's too much material to just cut her off completely - just edit her badly.
Lo and behold, it happened. Like, damn.. I started and loved it because of GyuRi and I dropped it because of her, at times I'll go once in a while to jump few and stream some scenes.. couldn't find her, if I do, it's like disconnect.. have no idea what happened that this or that is there.
I just remembered Heart Pairing because of the GyuRi-YuGyeong differences. The same as JiYeon-HaNuel.
The way the production edit them as if the two popular ladies in each season subtly can't stand eachother. In HP, JiYeon is my fav, HaNuel is edited in a way that you feel she's against your favourite. Fans of each side clashed, thank God not reducing screen time of them because there's no scandal and obviously the two are the main characters of HP. (side note, I came across HaNuel's page on YouTube and I'm like is this the girl they edited as if she's something else, such a sweet soul).
Almost repeating the same here in a Heart Signal S5 wig GyuRi and YG. They're obviously the picked main characters of the show but GyuRi alleged scandal is reducing the planned script for the show ending and they'll whatever they can to milk what's left of her value for the production. Whether is true or not, the pd statement is that they'll cut off her scenes to reduce backlash (their memo in a nutshell); which is always common with Korean dramas and programs, if you have issue, they'll edit you out or evilly not caring to explain if it's true or not.
The planned EG is GyuRi and SeoWon, Yugyeong and WY but the way it looks like, they'll edit all out and have only one couple. Except they'll call SeoWon and SooYun back to redirect an ending as a couple for them to have 2 couples for the show. (They might do that).
I'm scared now, this is just 2 episodes in and P3 won. I hope all teams won't alliance against them as they did to P1.
This is really good, because it's a reality. The way Sang Mon acted from onset when he saw this guy and mentioned they even after Genius, they're not on talking terms made me realise that every action here continues on with their life. The way he also behaved during the round 6 and 7 of Day1 to PC, twas like you? you're clowns, blah blah (although behind them - he's angry about with his years of experience and these kids still didn't yield to him) and Beom laughing. Damn, Beom is not spineless (I'm thinking about it that this kid is so bold and structured and confident, like, he has the brain).
But I'm scared for them, because how Korean Society plays is, you yield to SunBaenims no matter what. And I see it in the some of the seniors actions, even one getting angry that why is the leader of P3 spineless in front of these kids.
But P3 better watch out o, Pr is coming and with hostility for P3 not helping out during the struggle, P1 is definitely against them, PC will still remain the first betrayal and P2 are definitely people who don't take personal interest as a play.

I'm here to make a comment after 3 years of the last season. Remembered the series and was like, what's up with season 4, i'm ready for it😭. But unfortunately, nothing on that.
Makjang (막장) is a Korean slang term used to describe situations, behaviors, or storylines that are taken to the absolute extreme—often to the point of being ridiculous, absurd, or completely unrealistic.
This drama is the epitome of makjang (found out about this term from a manhwa about a producer..). Ridiculous (because some men will always be ridiculous), absurd (because of the ghost stuff, this drama is kind of a slice of life where the lives are what people might be going through, putting ghost there is like turning into unrealistic), unrealistic (because not every women that is cheated on will find dashingly rich handsome man to come when their feelings is at wreck, some women might be able to survive the betrayal and it's for life wrecking for some). I did'nt start this series from season 1, started from season 2 and twas very very goood, i want to know who are the screenwriters of this show. Love it. my #itcouple were SaPiYoung and SeoDongMa. #young man #olderwoman
It's 8/10 for me.

oh my goodness, your last paragraph just hit home with other shows i've watched. Now i'm going up and down to know are you people dating, checking clips, checking if each person still follow eachother. And obivously, the show won't do follow up on couples, the couples i spent months on shipping them and wishing them well (this is not entitlement of knowing how far with their relationships, it's just i invested so much emotions and i want them to be happy together). I hope this season will end well and their will be genuine connections.
For WooYeol, i think he's trying to make his pick carefully (😂Gyuri is my fav but they might not be the endgame😒), although there are sometimes he behave with each girls as if trying to make the other see or jealous, which he said 'he like to live in the moment'; it's here i'll think that 'ha, he still a young guy'.

You can't control the heart when the heart knows what it's want. I'm pretty sure she's scared because the whole intro till now is too smooth. It's like watching a drama where the mains are already together in the first two episodes, no twist no misunderstandings, this kind of story typically gives you a prelude to an upcoming trauma. And I hope it won't be like that for GyuRi and Wooyeol. I really hope they're endgame😭😭 and also if WooYeol and Yugeong are not going to be together, they should clear the air, the awkwardness and free the girl from more misunderstandings.

I'll Zhou Musen love our Luo Mian. That tiny bit of 'ive never felt like this for someone before, blah blah' is true but ladies never settle for 'bit'. What Luo said at the restaurant summarises who he is. A selfish, ambition and desperate to climb to the top. Harsh but true.
Personally, I've always want to have relationship with an older guy, matured one. ZM fits that (hmmm, but I'm not liking that😭😭).
The moment any dating show starts, I always pick my favourite after they all gather in first meeting. This season is particularly hard. I contemplating between GyuRi and Yugeoung. But my heart kindof just lean to Gyuri😂😂, no matter how I try to change to yugeong, it's hard😅.
So now it's time to look for the fit man for her. WuYeol is smooth and know how to play this game. It's either he's experienced or trained for this show. So my girl, Gyuri, if she keeps on hanging on to him, she might end up with no one by the end (buh😭😭😭 I don't want that🥹😮💨).
Are you really telling me XiaoBei doesn't know anything? The drama's vibe is giving every character has a flaw. No one is Perfect. So i'm not expecting XB to just waltz into the room and gives a flawless story. This might be real him, but i still feel there meeting is a setup.

I don't Understand the Hype behind this Drama, It's a Good but nowhere near a Masterpiece
If just watching now in 2025/2026. You'll feel like does it really worth it? But if you watched it in 2019/2020. It's a masterpiece. Apart from that, 60% of those who watched it, read the novel, then rewatch it again to imagine the subtle bromance turn BL in the drama.
Imagine this scenario, watch a drama, it was a bromance, then read the based on novel, it was a BL, then rewatch the drama again, you'll feel the chemistry of both actors. Then imagine if twas a BL drama😂. Then clips and content of how the two actors behave behind the scene went viral. The extrovert XZ and Introvert WY. Then! Fans couldn't get enough, a fanfiction was written of the two actors, as if based in real life. (Although the fanfiction was too **** that it got taken down by the government of China). The story escalated. The fans supporting the two split and it became fans war. It didn't stop there, this issue brought more viewers for the already ended tv drama.
The problem of explicit contents caused the controversy to be called '227 incident', strict censorship was enforced to an extent it affect both actors career, all entertainment platforms, events and industry were given order not to allow the two to be at the same place at the same time. brands dropped and repicked them, happened over and over again. When you think, it has died down, if the two seen again together the same problem happens again. There are now too factions. Bonafide fans of XZ, Bonafide fans of WY, Bonafide fans of the two actors together. Both! none of the factions agree on one thing.
now it has relented a bit, the weibo night 2026 at least allow them to be there at the event together, but must not be placed together.

Now let's talk about HyunWoo, He looked cool and bearish in the early scenes until we started getting more screentime of him with GoEun. When he said that she should pick him for Paradise, and they'll be able to talk and have fun. My first thought is if you people can't talk very well in Inferno, how will the conversation be in Paradise. But I gave him benefit of doubt, that not much one on one time in Inferno and Paradise will set the mood, but, oh boy... He butchered the mood😅
Now, SungMin is like first love and moonlight in Single's Inferno to GoEun. I kinda liked him but still not sure about him, because then I was wishing Hyeonwoo will talk to GoEun. Sooo, they would've been the sure done deal, then catfish came in😂😂😂
I-geon, he stirs the mood, the atmosphere, he carries the conversation, he makes you laugh, he makes you tense, he makes you silly, he makes you waver😂😂 this is not an expert but what I felt through the screen. He's an actor, but those tensions are not acting. But with all this, what still make GoEun not sure. I think - One, his age comes with more experience, he can flirt, make you blush, do tikitaka with you. Two, they somehow know each other through mutuals, was there things she has heard about him and that makes her hesitate? Three, he seems problematic to me😓💔😂😂, like he can bring you up to cloud nine and later slam you down, draining😅? Someone said he borderline green flag and red flag.
For Hyeonwoo, a cold and dominant girl will fit him, he'll be cute and silly for them. 90% of ladies are girlies in heart. We all want manly actions man not manly body man.
So now, she's confused. Should she go for SungMin who seems stable? I think she likes him kinda, a girl won't seat with a guy for a boring convo if she doesn't like him. OR Should she go for I-geon who seems thrilling and exciting?
My first kdrama in 2013. At the ending, i was confused and sad by the ending. But being matured now, I kind of understand not all life ending are happy ending. This is realistic and unfortunately sad. My question is will Jae Hyuk be devoted to Ga Young till their old age?, because i can tell you GaYoung will not leave him. And I also find myself thinking of how Ga Young will live from now on, although I can already envision how it'll be based on the amount of Kdrama i watched over the years.

Now, SungMin is like first love and moonlight in Single's Inferno to GoEun. I kinda liked him but still not sure about him, because then I was wishing Hyeonwoo will talk to GoEun. Sooo, they would've been the sure done deal, then catfish came in😂😂😂
