Title Lost
Well, unfortunately...to burst your bubble, there are other types of romance in this world or falling in and out…
I understand your point, that with betrayal comes so much suffering, of course.
But what I wanted to emphases is that no matter how much suffering it brings, it still happens and a lot.
And look, I am a hopeless romantic ok? I write poems and always dreamt and hoped for love forever, but reality is different.
People betray, divorce, find comfort in different areas for different reasons. People get married too young, families get involved, unfortunes etc...

What I realized from my divorced parents is that before being my parents and before being husband and wife there were a son and a daughter, a boy and a girl, a man and a woman...figuring out life as we were, as we are. Making choices, having regrets and so on...

There was a yogism story about a couple that went for a divorce at 80 years old and the judge asked "Why now?" and they answered "We waited for our children to die..."

So maybe I'm selfish but I will rather have people finding themselves in the world and find glimpses of happiness with their choices, go for where their heart tells them instead of living a completely lie of a life just because of social norms.

And we don't need to pity broken families, there is suffering in a lot of them regardless of being together or not.
I would rather have my partner leave me than staying with me by force with no affection and let him find whatever he is looking for.
And I'll deal with my own scars <3

This wasn't about a never heard before plot, or plot twists over plot twists. The purpose of the drama was to…
Yes, that's why I emphasized that the same plot wasn't the purpose of this drama.

I wasn't invalidating the younger audience taste or feelings, for example I dropped Goblin, which is one of the most popular and loved dramas, I just couldn't stand the childish FL voice and acting with a guy looking like it could be her dad. It's just not my thing.
I get it tho, why it was liked by so many, so I'm not invalidating anyone's taste. Each to its own.

I mentioned the younger audience because I'm expecting more from the older one to get the nuances of this visual drama.
So for those who are not into this type, I get it, not their thing.

But you can't disregard the drama because of taste or make it average when it's opposite. It's unique for how it delivers the story...it's not meant to just pass the time, when it offers such intimate and beautiful visuals, sounds and details from the intros to the outros.

Maybe I am more passionate about it because I took it as art, as an experience and I am sad that I noticed a lot of these types of dramas don't receive the credit for it, being compared to every other typical drama.

Ngl. I think the leads have OFF THE CHARTS!!! Chemistry. Those looks they give each other and their silence is…
Well, unfortunately...to burst your bubble, there are other types of romance in this world or falling in and out of love.
Not just the linear typical love-story that's been fantasized since forever when in reality, that's very unlikely to happen :)

Love comes in different forms, at strange times.
Love can be lost and found at any time.

It doesn't condone cheating, it's showing very straightforward how love can be found, lost and then found again either in the same person or a different one.

You talked as if cheating is taboo when it happens more often than love at first sight or childhood friends ending up growing old together, that you see in almost all the dramas.

I'm still lost why i wasted my time watching this preaching, justifying character behaviors in the name of humans,…
Everyone cheats for a reason...I don't understand your point. Even if you cheat for "fun" or curiosity that's still a reason. And who cares about the other women or men? They are outside the relationship/single. The one outside the relationship can really have 0 reasons or all the reasons to sleep with someone who is in a relationship/married.
And cheating is not justified because you have reasons doing it, but only portrays why you ended up doing it. It's an arch of actions and reactions.
If cheaters end up being forgiven or not that's another story that cannot be judged objectively.

I enjoyed this drama overall. Nothing too heavy on the mood. It was nice to binge-watch and kill some time. But…
This wasn't about a never heard before plot, or plot twists over plot twists.
The purpose of the drama was to give that same repertoire but in a very different, artistic way.
I didn't watch the trailer and I don't care about the actors so I went in blind.
From the intro and first 5 seconds I knew what type of drama this is and it delivered.
It was a visual-auditory poem.

(I watched the trailers and that's where they messed up, because they give a different vibe than what the drama gives. I think that's why most of the viewers rated it low, probably because they expected the typical kdrama and also being too young to understand introspective writing and visual composition in storytelling.)

This show was such a delight for my eyes and ears. Truly poetic visuals and introspective writing not to mention amazing ost.
It's not average at all, but definitely not your typical drama, it also has layers to it and requires a deeper and meaningful understanding of it.
It was a beautiful, artistic way of portraying the story and their love.
You have to remember this is a sensory storytelling, so just enjoy it <3
It really deserves a higher rating for it.

Life is simple as river. But this story proves that it's not. I don't understand why Idol not have any relationship…
I do want Idols to find their love, freedom and all that, but as much as I want to sympathize with them, I clearly distinguish what an Idol truly means. There is a difference between your typical singer, actor, celebrity etc. and an IDOL.
They don't sign with record labels they sign to be an Idol in a company. It's like they give away a part of them and this is the price they have to pay for the idol title.
As the name states an Idol is someone you look up to, flawless, unrealistic that all fans idolize. So yes, I have to agree with keeping the Idol image as clean as possible, even if this is unrealistic from a humane point of view.
They need them to be as perfect as possible without any controversies because nobody will idolize and fantasies about alcoholics, being in relationships, using drugs, smoking, clubbing, cursing etc.
In the west, we don't care because we just listen their music and we don't really care about them, but with KPop as you know it's something else. We stan them, we follow them through their lives, posts, achievements, get to know their personality, laugh and cry with our Idols.
Honestly I think it's something rare nowadays for celebrities to not do dumb stuff, so as much as restricting it is from their freedom, I want my Idols to be indeed Idols until they choose a different path in their lives.
In the end, they know from the beginning what they are signing up for.

I'd also like a second season. So tired of Korea cancelling people for things they did as a child. Like that's…
The way bullying is so common in S.Korea or at least it was, at this point more than half of the industry should be cancelled :| So stupid... I really hope for a comeback, he is an incredible actor.

The last scenes with her being all free and "bad ass" in the cemetery like every other millionth drama were quite anticlimactic... And from 10/10 it dropped to like 6, that's how disappointing it was.

Every revenge drama ends up with a happy ending :|
I liked this drama a lot but I was expecting to take a different path especially talking about being a human / monster.

I would've preferred her to die while walking in that tunnel or die at the same time with Choi Moo Jin as they both became monsters.
Put a dark bloody bow in the end after everything.

I wish they had a time countdown for taking over the bases...otherwise what's the point into having decoys and all the traps if they can just wait for it or drag it along?!

It adds more stress when you also have a time, not just chill out when you have smoke around you also no alliances allowed and each to it's own team and field. It makes the show anticlimactic to see 1 alliance in houses and 1 in tents especially for a double elimination. Pointless.

And if 2 teams go for same base without knowing...here comes the strategy on the spot if you attack them or wait to weaken the base and then attack to get the flag or go for their base instead, retreat etc... Idk I think its more fun and thrilling.

And the team that came back, they really put them right next to all in a tent? what was the point of that?! end the show fast?

I liked it but also got annoyed. Maybe season 2 will bring more thrill.

The world doesn't revolve around one person taste/opinion.. It just means a lot of people are actually enjoying…
well you can say this about any other movie/drama then...with less famous actors it comes less fame, I can agree with that. But it can go both ways, it can also turn out to be a flop. Regarding the rating before the drama is completed, I guess we have to take it with a grain of salt, especially when we see that it's currently airing.
It would be better indeed to show the rating after the drama is finished.

Then change the genres...simple. Didn't you watch the trailer or see the tags/plot? You should've expected to be this. I myself love a dark thriller, or psychological, slice of life, heavy ones with plot twists etc but I also love an easy watch, cheesy and predictable as it is, done 1000s already. That doesn't mean it doesn't deserve the rating when it actually does... You cannot compare an 8.5 rating between different genres.

Finished and love it!!! Is there any drama like this? Or any drama that have a character like Aoki? I love him…
You can try "Fukou-kun wa Kiss Suru Shikanai!" Ignore the rating, it is a short drama and honestly it was so fun to watch.
