the ending is so so so rushed. everyone just died so suddenly. shi peng and minion just dead like that lol. and why they have 2 farewell scene between su mo and bai ying? i mean the scene inside the palace/cave and the beach. it's like the director can't decide which one is more romantic/heart-wrenching, so they just put all lmao. the ending is kinda like Davy Jones story, where he can only meet his lover on land once every 10 years. i'm actually okay with the ending, i mean not every tale has to end in happily ever after. but i just wish they execute it better. instead of su mo asking to be turn to rain (which doesn't happen anyway), why not him asking to be given a chance once a year to meet bai ying? that would explain more for the ending.

I guess he didn’t think of women at that age. About his relationship with the father, pretty sure they did it deliberately in front of everyone. So they know that his powerful dad spoil him rotten and that adds to his bad reputation. About the girl trying to kill him but not getting punished, well who dares to punish her if XFN himself said no? His dad do everything he wants.

It’s bitter sweet ending for me. I’m actually okay with the ending. I mean not all drama have to end with both lead get married or both or one of them died. Besides, in my mind, Shifu and Haishi will still have secret rendezvous every now and then lol. And they can still grow old together, cause the little emperor said Shifu’s health is going better and they prioritize his health. And when the emperor grow up, Haishi can step down and pretend to have died. And they can go back to their original plan. Living secluded together. So this is the first Novoland that i finish. The others i just drop halfway.

Okay i suddenly got a bad feeling that the mermaid gonna die before she can heal Shifu. We still have one more mysterious villain right? The boss of that boot licking eunuch? And the one who told Tilan to poison Emperor and poison her medicine too. I kinda think that it is Tilan’s maid doing.
Ikr. It’s a miracle he still so loyal to the Emperor cause he kinda treat him bad in earlier episodes. I guess he knows the Emperor is just all bark and no bite with him 😂
Based on epi 44 preview, i guess the one inside the carriage is dying Shifu. I think Haishi needs to bring Shifu to the mermaid so she can heal him. So the pearls is not enough. And dang, the emperor is alone now when his brother finally attacking the palace.
Though this drama has a lot of points where we feel frustrated, we did laugh and cry along with the characters…

Is Tilan gonna die after giving birth? Cause i think the child i saw with Haishi in some trailer is Tilan’s son. I think the Emperor gonna make Haishi the Empress cause like he said he owed a lot to Shifu. But he won’t touch Haishi cause he loves Tilan. So the child must be given to her as the Crown Prince.
