Wooyeon from the group WOOAH was amazing! She was an Ace of their team in Archery with scoring 10,9,7 and 10,9,8 in semifinals and finals respectively, helping them get the Gold medal!
She was also part of the 4x100m relay race and crucially took the lead in her run by quite a margin helping her team( WOOAH + Kiss of Life = Nana, Wooyeon, Julie, Haneul ) win Gold!
Nana also got a silver in Dance Sports! So happy for them and i hope news people get to know about them! Their songs are amazing!
Yoon Bomi (Secretary Na) won the Best Supporting Actress at 'Daejeon Festival Over The Top Awards' yesterday! I think we'll have more awards incoming for the cast from now on!
I think its ok for now. But maybe in 4-5yrs above mentioned points maybe a bigger issue.
But i think one other main point is....webtoon adaptations are happening a lot these days compared to original stories. and it'll even increase more. Its because there is less risk for production companies and also they know the range of audience they can attract with that story.
If this continues, maybe the drama world will become like anime, where only famous webtoons come up as dramas and there'll be a massive decline in original stories. Maybe we should also give the original dramas a higher rating(atleast 0.5 star) than what we intend to give it and rate webtoon adapted ones somewhat critically. Not that it changes anything, but it'll just indicate the support to original written dramas.
Some key takeaways- from this interview and also the one Jinhyuk did yesterday: Jinhyuk says he wished there was more romance. Eunji also says the relationship period shown on broadcast was shorter than she thought. Eunji says Mijin's and her own personality are very different. and they have very little in common. but she respects Mijin's own pace of life as there might be many like that irl. When reading the script she thought to herself shouldn't she reveal the secret to GYU first? Even Jinhyuk mentions his character should have deduced about Mijin a little quick.
The director in another interview mentions he's kinda sorry for Eunji because even if shes the FL, she shares it with JungEun. He says Imsun has very fun scenes and Mijins are emotional ones. and hes grateful she accepted the role because both Eunji and Jungeun were a perfect fit and made huge efforts to match in dialogue delivery(satoori) and little actions they both do.
Eunji and Jinhyuk make it clear there's nothing bw them irl... and they are like siblings and tease and scold each other a lot.
P.S: i like their offscreen chemistry more! they bicker a lot but care for each other. Hope we see them together in some variety shows cuz it would be fun to watch.
I think Eunji accepted this! She said she gained 5kilos recently and knowing how much emphasis she puts on her fitness, it can only mean its for this drama. the drama will start shooting from 3rd week of august!
Is Genie Earth still happening though? Seems like it’s been on the bench for a long while
i dont think its happening. there were articles about it like some production issues but later they said it was sorted out. and since then there's no news about it.
Draggy ending, mediocre overall, 6.5.What was the moral of this story? That youth is fleeting and you gotta stress…
Mijin supported herself. Never depended on her parents financially except for living under the same roof. Her mom mentions that in the starting episodes. All those part time jobs were for earning money. its also how she got those climbing, typing, gaming, excel skills.
Looking at the comments, i might be in the minority after watching this episode. I totally am still team 'should have revealed the secret earlier'. but maybe this episode made writers intention of how the story was made.
-i think it was good how they show Mijin fighting the killer herself without any help(even though going there alone was kinda meh)
- the romance...im sad there's not much. but before watching E15 i was constantly thinking how they'll sort this, cuz the secret was still not out. it was all leading to this breakup(which i totally did not imagine)
- but looking from the start, Mijin was never happy throughout the series, you have to feel for her. She was only in good spirits when she was working as Imsun and also when she was dating GJU.
- From LMJ characters pov, she got a job after 8yrs and was only happy when she's working there at day. And i think she didn't reveal the secret in fear of losing her job. But if she cant trust her secret to the one she loved, i think taking a break is the right way. She should figure out herself first and get her priorities and life sorted out.
--but i totally didnt understand the killer story. because they show several missing person cases but only reveal the aunt and the ml's mom at the end. what was her motive? if she did commit several murders for money, she must have lots of it by now. Why was she still living like that. Why did she join the prosecutors office? idk maybe shes just a maniac. like most killers. its fun for them. no purpose.
- We might get a small timeskip ending. i think she'll get a job in the right way this time and will meet GJU in the office again.
I think the writer tried to go in a different way by making LMJ revealing her secret in the last episodes unlike usual k-dramas where we get this sort of reveal at around 75% of the story. I think its brave of the writer, and this drama sets an example that the secrets can be kept until final episodes in a drama(but it makes viewers frustrated)
Personally. i think the Police station scene in EP14 would have been a perfect place for the parents and GJU to know about her secret. it also gives sufficient time to build up their relationship from there. GJU's dumb too. he must have figured it out by now tbh. as they show he's very perceptive. But no one irl would guess someone is transforming unless they see it with their own eyes so i'll let it go. the max possible deduction someone who didn't see it would make is LMJ is hiding IS in her house without anyone knowing and they work together secretly.
Also, idk why ppl say the killer was predictable? never once till ep 12 i saw ppl pointing fingers towards the real killer? the killer's story is also revealed which connects the dots of the story for us. We only saw her what she did to the ML, FL's family but I think she's more evil because there were several missing person cases in GJU's file. she must have done the same she did to the director's wife to all of them!
Ep 13 review: lol i laughed a lot watching this episode! Gye ji ung is so different when he's smiling. Gayoung and investigator scenes are so fun (imo, she deserves better) Killer reveal finally!
looks like they are releasing an OST Physical Album for this drama! Main Lineup is: 1)The Vane 2)Sarah Kang 3)BoyNextDoor 4)JD1 5)Jung Eunji 6)LAS
along with some backtracks... making it around 29 tracks in total. a 70-page booklet containing vivid still cuts from famous scenes, a digipack, two stickers, a bookmark, and three photo strips are included.
