What really gets me is how the show tries to humanize him by showing us bits of his pov but it's not working...well for me at least. Normally in most shows/novel adaptations I can sort of see how certain treatment might turn one/send someone over board but in his case...absolutely not.

I really do 😂🤣 every time they come on my screen I actually hit my computer screen because I can't. I tried to understand their point of view but I just can't.

That's initially what made me not want to watch this drama 😂 plus the dubbing for MZH. But honestly after an episode you get used to it and it's not so bad.

They have changed somethings from the novel this is based on but this aspect is the same as the novel...

Tbh...they really need to remake the prequel to this😂😂

No I meant overall. She has moments of cuteness with all of them, well minus fenglong. She never has that with him 😭 but he's so bad with women so there's that.

It would be nice if they were able to somehow include a scene where TSJ slapped TSH in s2 🤣🤣 but that would be soo out of character. But I just need him and YY to be slapped just once so I can rest in peace.

I went to go double check and omg I did not even realize! I wonder what character she is supposed to be. I watched the Saiunkoku Monogatari anime years ago so I vaguely remember/ forgot some plot lines/who all the characters are. I really only remember my favorite arcs tbh.

I might be in the minority here...but I love it when XY acts cutesy or when she's being goofy. Yang Zi is so good at acting like that (and acting in general). She makes me want to pinch her cheeks. She's so cute. Idk but it also kind of reminds me of her character in Battle of Changsha, although be warned if you plan on watching that now...you are going to cry...a lot.

Maybe when they make one for the rest of the episodes he will get one? Hopefully...

Literally, then she had the audacity to cry when he died?! After everything she did! To this day she's probably my most hated character.
