From what I remember, yes. But tbh, that doesn't mean anything because a lot of novels that some cdramas are based on have happy endings yet the producers/directors decided to change the ending to an OE or a sad ending.
And another thing too, they wanted to rip XL limb from limb? The audacity. He did what he did to y'all to protect his fellow fallen soldiers that he was in charge of. How are yall soldiers but only RS understands this? This is so crusty. Thank goodness for RS.

Yes, but in the end Jing was still alive and him and XY still ended up together and CX/XY somewhat repaired their relationship. So I'm sad that they didn't go that route. But I'm glad you and other's enjoyed the lighter ending.

Acting for the cast is 10/10. Just sad that they changed the moment between XY and CX into a dream/tea dream. I was looking forward to that as well as the impact/ripple effect that it was supposed to have. There are other things I disliked about this season but so far, that's my main issue. Still a good s2 though. I rated it 8/10.
