Just rewatched this drama and still came to the same conclusion. He was not any type of hero. He had been through a lot but that is not an excuse to hurt others. You think he would have been more understanding of this. You don't poison women and use them for revenge against your enemies. That makes him toxic. I know he didn't love her at that point, but still. He basically tortured her to the brink of death and threw her into the lion's den. Some serious Stockholm syndrome going on.

I do get that, but he did make her believe he didn't want her anymore by indicating he was with XCX. Still didn't fess up to his problems when he knew she was getting "married". So, IMO he started the problem. You don't go looking for your previous love AFTER she is supposedly married.

Is it just me, I don't like how the ML deserted her and by implying he was with XCX. Then he tries to stop her from marrying someone else and still doesn't tell her the truth. She had her pride, and obviously didn't get married, so she did the right thing by not marrying someone she didn't love. After all is said and done, he knew she didn't get married and still didn't come to find her. 7 years and he never tried to get back in touch? He only was interested when he saw the folded swan. I blame this on him. Yes, he had his difficulties but should have been honest to begin with. FL deserved better.

What a disappointing and crappy ending. Even if they have another season the 2 leads are not coming back, I read. After all the chasing he did to get her, he leaves her because of her view on brain death and responsibility. She was willing to understand his point of view but not hers. Honestly his situation with his mother was a totally different scenario because she might have had some quality time with her son before she passed from her cancer had she receive chemo. The daughter in law with the brain-dead husband a different story. The character of Chen Shuo was a let down at the end.

Im getting the feeling that Deok Im and Deok Ro are brother and sister. He almost kills her in ep 4. She is looking for a long lost brother, and he said he had a sister that begged for rice from his relation.
