My guess is that ML's father found the gold and transferred it to some place secretly. He refused to inform this to either the director or director's other agent. One of them killed ML's father for this. The ML might have something in his belongings that is the key to the gold location.
Yeah this doesn't feel like the kind of drama where the father figure betrays him but I could always be wrong
I don't think he will be evil because based on the tone of the drama so far, they might not go for it. I would make things awkward between and his adopted father's family. I think it's more likely that he probably knew something or made a mistake that led to the death of ML's father.
can someone help break this down if I’m wrong? the female lead is mad because the male lead lied to her about…
He manipulated the FL and made him have feelings. He basically catfished her. The FL was struggling emotionally at the time and he made her happy -- only to break her heart when she found out his real age.
I liked that guest grandma character who they went to meet on the weekend. This drama would be so much better if that kinda grandma was ML's grandma. You don't even need that evil grandma story. They could have just made the ML determined himself from childhood to succeed and excel without the grandma forcing it on him. Maybe add a bit story like his company struggling without his father and him getting determined after watching his sad grandma.
Sometimes I come to this drama on MDL and smile with tears in my eyes because I still can't believe how badly they butchered the story and main characters. What a waste of a talented cast. The FL and SML especially were written horribly.
One thing that didn't made sense to me is why didn't the brother take treatment after the doctor said? It's like he was still suicidal and wanted to die, yet he said to his brother that he wants to live.
