1_ If you don't like angst and bullying you might not like this
2_If you liked the magical colors, the ost , the mystery , the fantasy and the overall (intentionally) unrealistic atmosphere of the first season you might not like this
3_ If you liked the character of Yoo han you're not going to like this
4_If you don't like characters getting introduced and problems getting solved in a rushed pacing and a sudden time skip at the beginning of the series, you won't like this
If non of the above is an issue you might actually enjoy this . At least that's what I think.
Lee Hyun is trying to protect Lee Hwi because of his feelings and instinct. He is proactive in following guards…
I don't understand what your argument exactly is . Are you trying to compare Ji woon and Hyun based on what they did for CP? Or are you trying to downplay Ji woon's actions in general?
If it's the former then let me tell you I have no interest in comparing the two of them and it doesn't matter. Hwi loves Ji woon. That's all that matters. If we are comparing these characters I say even officer Yoon and her bodyguard have done so much for her .
If it's the latter then I have to seriously disagree. Do you want me to give you a list of what Ji woon has done for her? Even if we ignore their childhood he has done so much for her.
He did get injured for her many times same as Hyun despite the fact that unlike Hyun he is not a fighter, just a tutor . He tried his best to make her happy and be besides her and make sure to show her she is loved , something that other characters failed to do. He tried to give her advice when he could as his tutor . He helped her when she needed a physician and as a cover so they wouldn't know her real gender.He also helped her when her subjects(bodyguard) needed a physician. He helped her in almost all of her plans .
In the beginning he helped her when she was being followed by guard looking like a woman. He also helped her at the bar when she confronted her uncle not knowing her identity. When that guy from Ming was causing problems he stood up for CP eventhough he literally is in no position to do anything. Even Hyun didn't react because he was stopped by his brother. He also was the first to save her when she was getting attacked by the big guy and he had a big influence on later events when they found a ledger and ended up threatening the Ming guy. He helped her . He left the Palace at CP's request and comes back when he was dethroned. Helped he escape, fought his dad , helped her disguise herself. During the latest episode he helped CP to hide from guards , heal his wounds and gave her information on weapons transportation
Also I find it weird that you think he is a stalker. He hasn't been following CP around, he happens to be there at the right time and leaves whenever CP tells him to. Also unlike some other characters he isn't busy only for lee Hwi. He has his own backstory and hobbies and friends he saved and he even helps the SFL . Stalking FL is something others seem to do not him. her bodyguard, Lee hyun who is only relevant when it's about CP and Even Ji woon's dad is more of a stalker than he is lol
As much as I like Hyun I don't understand why everyone is saying that he protects CP's identity in a way to criticise Ji woon. I'm sorry guys but the person who protects CP's identity is CP herself. Hyun didn't really do much other than not being a snitch and trying to be supportive in a similar fashion that many others did( like the previous king, the eunuch , the previous queen , the court lady )
The main difference between Hyun and Ji woon is that she actually likes Ji woon which made Ji woon respond in the latest episode and kiss her. If Hyun was loved the same way Ji woon is , I am sure he would've kissed her as well.
Also I don't think neither CP nor Ji woon were thinking straight when they kissed. They got caught in the moment and didn't realise Ji woon's dad staring at the scene lol
