Loved you review and laughed of it lmao. I totally agree with everything you said. About Eshter Yu: she usually takes bubbly roles, and cute characters are indeed her thing. But she has some good characters that are cute but also act like their own age. I've seen some dramas with her, and my favorite is definitely Moonlight.

yes, this is the type of thing they add as a dragging device. I don't have the patience, so I just dropped. It's hard to grasp the FL's character. She's so inconsistent that we never now how she's going to act, but overall, she just seems very childish.
My review is below. I just want to mention what really annoyed me. While most of the costumes were attractive…
Omg yes lmao. I've just wrote that in my comment as well. I think the majority of the male costumes looked too voluminous and it really started to bother me ππ
Iβm on ep 18 now and Iβve been enjoying this drama until this ep. I canβt quite understand why the FL is…
I stopped at episode 17 and I believe she was suspicious of him (even after seeing how tired he was from trying to solve the issue), since the conversation she had with the Su guy kept playing in her head. The scene at the prison made me so annoyed that I had to stop watching lmao
I don't know what it is, but this show just seems low quality. I've been watching a lot of historical Chinese dramas this year, and there's a lot of better options. I'm stopping at episode 17. Also, the male costumes for this drama are so voluminous (it just seems that they don't fit on the actors) to the point that brothers me lmao ππ. I was enjoying at the beginning, but now I started to find things too annoying.
What can you do? apparently it's a growing trend where audiences prefer mindless escapism over though-provoking…
Yes, I think this show reminded of my time as a teen watching shonen anime. The supernatural aspects really caught me off guard and ruined the experience for me, tbh. The characters are also not that interesting. It's shocking to me that some people are actually comparing this show with Weak Hero Class like they're the same quality LMAO.
I love your conclusion on Casey and Frank matter..I even laughed at the last line..He didn't act like a kid and…
Also, I agree with you about Elvis. He is a great actor, but this role did not make him justice. If you haven't watched yet, check Fake it 'Till you make it. He is also one of the leads and it's just amazing.

Yes! I could watch a show only about Le and Mai. Their chemistry was so good and the characters felt real, waaaay different than Elvis and Joe. Everything about their relationship felt rush (the beginning, the development and the end). Idk, there were just too many characters for such a short show. And about Casey and Frank... It was so random to me. I don't see the purpose of their storyline and their interactions were kind of weird to say the least. Some people commented that it seemed almost like Frank was a past-life lover that reincarnated or something lmao.

I love the title of your review lmao. I completely agree with you, and it was sooo hard for me to take a lot of things seriously here. I've read some episodes of the webtoon and I believe Ga Min had his personality changed for the show. He's seems way less innocent and naive there. I honestly don't understand all of the amazing comments. Maybe this show is just not my cup of tea.
I felt the same lol. I think I'm not the demographic for this show. At first I was expecting something like Weak Hero, but more lighthearted. I was enjoying it, but the whole superpower thing was a deal breaker for me. It's so hard to take it seriously when all of the villains are teenagers, and all of the adults keep being rescued by teenagers as well. It's really manhwa coded, which is not bad, just not my favorite type of thing. Maybe I will give the webtoon a chance, but this live action format didn't work for me.
I agree. The biggest issue for me was because I found that the FL was the best part of the show. It was very nice to see her solving situations in such a level headed and mature way. In the last few episodes she started acting too much out of character, and I felt really frustrated. The break up was unfair and made no sense. It was clearly a forced lack of communication just to add illogical drama.
I finished this show yesterday and I couldn't agree more. I've just wrote a review for this drama where I mention some of the aspects that you also pointed out. I can't help but feel that, even for a 2016 drama, this show is pretty outdated. Although I was able to enjoy a little,as a weekend distraction, there were some off-putting aspects that where very annoying to me lol.
I can relate to your review. I also struggled so much to finish this show because I found the main story really boring. The main couple was kind of stiff and awkward, even though they were both adorable individually. I think I only finished it for the main squad. They were really wholesome, but the rest of it got tiring really quickly. Unlike you, I was kind of invested in the second couple's story at the beginning, but like you said, after some point, it got really forced, especially after the pregnancy reveal. It was just too quick and they had no time to develop actual feelings for each other.
I appreciate your honest review even if I disagree with you about what followed after episode 11. I watched the…
Hi! Thanks for your comment, and sorry for any english mistakes (I'm still learning). I actually watched their romantic moments sepparetely just out of curiosity. But unfortunately, at episode 16 (where I stopped watching) I was really annoyed by how clueless the characters seemed to be about things that were apparently already solved. That's why I felt kinda betrayed by the writers, because we can notice these mistakes. Also, I understand what you mean when you say that the producers attempts to romanticize SRQ didn't work for you. But I just felt, again, annoyed by that XD. Neverthless, I'm glad that you enjoyed your experience. Personally, I just felt that I didn't have time to invest in this drama, considering that I was already noticing some holes in the plot and there were 30 episodes ahead. I really enjoyed the beginning though. I was watching another drama, but stopped everything just to binge watch this one :/
You summarized my thoughts. I don't enjoy love triangles because I prefer the love between the leads to be mutual in the purest definition of the word. I'm not a fan of overly simp MLs, when the FL doesn't reciprocate those feelings in the same amount. I got really disappointed watching this, because I was really enjoying it at the beginning. This portrayal of strong female characters only makes them less human, making it hard for you to relate to them. It's a shame.
