The older brother, Xie Zhong Ru, was innocent. XZR likes CYR in the first place and cause his young brother, Xie Zhi Qi, lust after her as well. Before time travelling, XZQ was also innocent, and he is just a psychiatrist who want to understand (or heal) his older brother who became a psycho. Unfortunately, the butterfly effect within time loops makes XZQ more and more evil from timeline to timeline.
About mental ill, could you imagine that the memory of someone else suddenly appeared on your mind? Especially on young people, that's what XZR and CYR suffered.

I'm happy to see someone like you being aware of HYX's darkside and still find a way to understand her. About HYX, she's not completely optimistic, but the bright side is what she wants to show to others. For example, HYX seldom cry in front of people, so her long time friend, KunBu, said never see HYX's crying. She even doesn't cry in WQS' funeral, but HYX chooses to farewell him by VR and shed all tears out alone. This makes the role touch my heart much more.
Inspiring the audience to think makes the story become part of heart. Someone is seriously asking: Why is there a car in 2020 with a stereo that can play a cassette tape? Well, the scriptwriters already take care of this in the first episode.

Chen Yun Ru is the role I like most in the original, and I feel she is the first female lead. The story is initiated by Last Dance which is her favorite song. There's also a theme song, Come Away, dedicated for CYR, but I don't know which song is for HYX. However, I don't feel she is a victim; like her third birthday wish, she wanted to be the girl that LZW would like, so HYX is actually summoned by her.

No worry! The production team treats the age gap very carefully.
For example in 1998, there was only friendship between LZW (17y) and HYX (27y soul) instead of romances.

OK, I got your point, and I have some viewpoints.
As the Kakarayan's secret keeper, Fali did not know why he was asked to keep the secret until he was been told "Orad is a lie". If Orad is a lie, the world is a lie as well. When the lie is exposed, both Orad and the world have to end for the truth.
When Toem alters Orad's memory by the comb, Fali is just aware that his power can work on Orad. Since the disappearance of the reflection of time, nobody knows Kakarayna's plan anymore, and Fali becomes almighty and decides to help Orad find the truth.
In short, what Fali's done on Tien-Ti and the world is just for exposing the lie.

Because Orad denies himself existence, right?
20 years ago, Orad told Fali "he is a lie", that is actually what Fali will tell Orad in the future, and this becomes the chicken or the egg causality dilemma. But, if Orad doesn't deny himself, he should disbelieve "he is a lie" and will not vanish, and the world won't end.

I see somebody said the WQS backstory is based on a real event in Taiwan, Yeh Yung-chih Incident, especially the scene in the bathroom where he was bullied.
