Its has a high rating for good reason. Excellent piece of work. I delayed watching this for more than a year just because a comment said the good guys kept on loosing till almost the end, and that is so not true and totally misleading. The way Xu Kai conveys his emotions through his eyes is just beautiful to see. And the FL she is gooooooood! Badasss! They didnt turn her into a dumb weepy mess and that was good for me, they all made the right amount of sacrifices without one person carrying everything, it was evenly distributed and i loved it. And pls can we take a minute to talk about yuanqi! That kid is too adorable pls!!! What a satisfactory watch. A complete 9.0 for me

It has the right amount of tragedy, didnt go overboard, and didnt skimp on it either. Everyone made sacrifices and not just one person carrying everytime. Its a good drama. Took me a year to finally decide to watch it. Its on par with TMOPB

A good drama, kinda sad, but realistic for wuxia. 8.0

The storyline is good, but 33 episodes is too long. 24 episodes is more than enough to cover the story. Had to drop at episode 20.

The plot is good, well done alternate universe drama. The romance was good too. But my God why did they turn her from a strong bold woman to an emotional weepy mess. Just why! She cried for everything and anything. I just couldn't it was irritating to watch jur. I had to drop it. And who else didnt get the "overbearing ceo" vibe from the ML. Speaking as someone who has read my fair share of "over bearing ceo" novels, he didnt carry it for me, i always saw him as the ceo's celebrity bestfriend, he didnt have the aura, i mean dont get me wrong the guy is a work of art, but not ceo art for me. Watch "dating in the kitchen" to understand what i mean.And the 2nd ML is just a darling...But its not a bad drama atall over all if you don't mind the excessive weeping.

I really enjoyed this drama, had me smiling all through. The copious amount of clichés was very satisfying for we cliché lovers. And the 💋..whew!!! A solid 8.0 for me.

Who knew republican drama could be so awesome. A gem indeed. I thoroughly enjoyed watching it. I love how the FL held her own, she was smart and resourceful. The ML is so devious and good at thesame time, well matched, well written, well paced. A complete 9.5 for me, the 0.5 is because of my guy (that died at the end, i really liked him.

I am all for strong Fls. But i dropped this at episode 2. The villian is so brazen and more powerful than the royals themselves. Its unrealistic even for a fiction

I'm in episode 4, and i am honestly failing to see the "perefction" everyone is gushing about. Maybe because of my personal preference. I feel like it is slow, and too serious, i get that it is a thriller but a few comic relief here and there wont be so bad. After watching it for 4 hours straight i started having headache. It is definitely not my cup of tea regardless of the hype.

Do not drop this, this drama in my opinion is the best of 2022. I mean the only dramas on par with it i belive are Joy of life and Nirvana in fire. And belive me if you have watched them you will understand what i mean . Everything about it is perfect. Any director and script writer would have to out do themselves to top LLTG and that is on period.

I was quite impressed with the torture. And i like how her lying to the emperor wasnt swept under the rug, or excused because of her relationship with prince Qi, But she had to avert a national crisis to save her life,

Overall an interesting watch. I wish i saw more fight scenes from Prince Qi. Brother Xie naivety was unexpectedly pleasant lol. The chemistry between the leads was quite good too. The Fl really held her own . A solid 8.2 for me

Feng Bufei was my favorite tooo. Thought i was the only one, i looked forward to his scenes

A solid 8.0 in my opinion, infact i belive the drama trived on the good story line , the writer did a good job with the suspense and unpredictability. You pretty much had surprises in almost every episode, the pacing was good, not rushed atall, the villians were revealed in good time too. Infact my favourite character in this drama was Feng Bufei 😂 , I loved how he called the ML baby and wanted to turn him into a doll. FL acting was good, i liked how she always bounecd back from every set back, and the comedic elements were timely too. I'm not sure i was convinced by the ML's acting, he was a little too stoic for my liking, I felt like the idea of his character didn't come through that well for me, I know he is sickly and weak but even the sickly persona wasnt convincing. I just couldnt connect with him emotionally and to me that made the chemistry between them a little lacking, even when they started kissing plenty I still couldn't feel it. Anyway over all it is an interesting and engaging watch. Not bad atall, a solid 8.0 for me

Prior to this drama LMH could do no wrong in my eyes. But damn this drama to me is the worst he has acted. The plot, the storyline, the pacing, literally everything was just out of place. Like how did the fall in love exactly? They went from enemies to lovers so quick i thought i skipped eposodes. And whats with the time loop towards the end.. I just couldn't with that one. High budget movie that got nowhere, and to think the writer is such a popular writer . Sad. Complete waste to time and talent
