I think he admired her from the start, but bc he is young and doesn't know his feelings, she was going after his oldest brother who admire, and now she is his oldee sister in law so im sure sorting through it is challenging.

I like that they played the characters so that FL and ML have no chemistry in the early episodes. With the admiration from the older brother. It lets the story grow and the relationship change more believable.
