Why is everyone is so focused on the non-existent romance?

Im loving this drama, it bringing together my love for costume drama, fight scenes, fantasy world, and gaming vibes. All the side characters are like NPCs and I like that too. Cultivation life is long, maybe that's why life and death is not as weighted and acquaintance are not as close. The pacing works for me, it feels like when you play different parts of a game just to build out the whole game. Many people who read the donghua have said it is long. Im sure carving out only 30 something episodes worth must have been hard. Haven't heard anyone say they changed anything in ways that would ruin the OG story though.

I've watched a good part of Yang Yang's filmography, I think i would rank this among his top 5 for acting.

His modern dramas are few. I enjoyed Intense Love and Moonlight though. Would recommend if you havent gotten to it.

Yeah, it were most costume and historical dramas are filmed. Unless they use real locations.
