I agree with everything you said. Also, their relationship is very uneven from the start, they don't emphasize this too much, coz it's not the main source of drama here (thankfully!!), but still. He's a generationally wealthy highly educated man on top of his business, and she's a start-up CEO with no experience. I can't imagine the level of self-esteem a woman should have to not feel at least somewhat inadequate and unsure in their relationship. Specially, when said man doesn't "tell" her he loves or likes her outright, and sfl keeps adding fuel to that fire. Ji Xing is stronger and more confident then most, total badass!
I just have to say that this drama has one of the best styled cast I've ever seen. Usually, I find the styling horrible and not realistic. But here they all look so cool and stylish. I love FL outfits, and I love seeing Wang ZiQi in casual clothes like this.
I must say, this is the first time in cdrama that I don't cringe at a chinese actor/actress "speaking" english. The aunt is hilarious and her chinese-english is fun :)

Can this actually mean that's how the evil spirit is planning to "make it all good for DFQC"? he keeps promising that he won't have to choose, that he can have the happy ending he wants... maybe this will be it...and then DFQC will have to break out of it and choose the reality where XLH might die or he has to sacrifice everything
