all couples are separated at the "end" since the show ends with most of the story untold.
Oh no, you should watch it, because it is not like happy ending story line, after you watched all episodes, the ending for me is a good ending. It leaves a lot of hopes at the end, because you know that the whole clan is being ousted together and will survive, for me season 2 is not necessary.
The best C-drama i have ever watched indeed! the characters, acting, story line all good! i feel like a journey of a life facing various trials on this planet under the guise of an human being. Though fantasia, it is so real. The world in which we live .
I like more this movie than "Fighting for love", I like "Zhuang Yu" character very much. The love story between him and Wu Ruo Lan is so moving and leave us unbelievable moral value for us. Zhuang Yu dies happily because he does not want to live more after Ruo Lan died and also revenge has already taken all of his energy. I love their couple scenes though not much appeared in the movie.

Oh you can watch, but for me, the story line is so stupid, they have portrayed FL as very exceptional strategist, fighter, an excellent army general but at the end, she simply ends her life in a Monarch familial fighting for the throne, for me grand princess or dying king , both are equally bad, have no interests at all in the Nation/People, look at ML, how he behaves like a playboy , all he does is to protect A Mei, the so called famous FL and other he does not care other things. And similarly they too have portrayed SML as fierce young General , fighting on the battle since 10 years old, blah bah, but he ends his life in chasing a FL from an enemy country whose boy friend killed his own cousin, he has made lose his country because of a unworthy woman who does not love him at all and most of all who has already her love token to another man who is going become an emperor of the enemy country. Wow all these plots are very carefully setup simply to formulate an outstanding historical woman ??? you can't fool all the people all the times even if it is only the movie.
Was there such a heroine fighter who had saved everyone including the so called Monarchy in history? The whole story is around A Mei - a general, a strategist , savior of Monarchy , Chief Army General, A politician and of course at the same time a beauty and so on.... that kind of script is so boring. I will stop watching!

for me the grand princess wants to become empress dowager , for herself , to get power. She killed so many people including his husband, 2 nephews, brother, and many others. After having killed so many people, she seems to tell A Mai that revenge is a bad thing and endless killings blah blah, all faults went to the crazy emperor who will die soon too. So they will put all blames to the current crazy emperor imo, he was crazy but she is also not better. A Mei will finally end by helping throne Yi Zhi - imo she is the most stupid girl. I can only hope that Wang Rui Chang will get another drama costumed series with a proper main lead role.
Well after having watched 25/26, i am even more disappointed, clearly Yi Zhi's mother is the most cunning woman of all, even more than current emperor. Smart girl A Mai will end by saving again Yi Zhi and give him the throne. A stupid girl for me after all. I don't like the grand princess - revenged by killing her own brother, husband and 2 nephews - all these things is to give back throne to her stupid adopted son and for herself of course to become empress dowager. I hope Wang Rui Chang will get another drama series with a proper main lead role.
It become a little bit boring, i want to see more about what is happening in Beimo between Chang Yuqing and Cheng Qi. The fact that Yi Zhi follows all of the suggestion input by A Mai is also boring. Yi Zhi mother has already sacrificed so many people including her husband to keep him alive. If to replace the current monarchy by her son, as always - he is very lucky indeed, he is simply surrounded by very cunning people!
