There's 2 possibilities. Its either 'twin' or 'plastic surgery' to impersonate Shen Yi. I think, its plastic surgery cause in Season 1, it was one of the main issue, why Shen Yi & Du Cheng fails to capture M for 7 yrs. (she hidden herself by 'plastic surgery'). In Season 2, Episode-24, during case discussion, it's hinted that FKY hospital also provides 'plastic surgery'. 3rd possibility is that it's a 'dream' of what will happen if he choose dark path. Shen Yi's background is still a big mystery needs to be shed lights upon in season 3.

At last, Du cheng agreed, him trying to restrain Shen Yi genius was wrong. Shen Yi consciously was always on his side, helping his team to solve cases. He should have faith in Shen Yi, his trump card. Btw, I noticed, Shen Yi painted others but his own life canvas is still blank. His background is still a mystery. Hopefully, it get discussed and shed light upon in season 3, cause somewhat I feel, that the moment Shen Yi able to finally paint his own self, is moment of freedom from all his traumas & burdens he carried all along.
