Difference is ML entered her life first, she didn't. Shaoshang isn't perfect we all know that, Shaoshang herself knows that. ML knows how she is and even complimented her personality BEFORE their relationship, it's not a shocker for him. What about Shaoshang?? What did she know about him before he abruptly asked for her hand in marriage (Yes I know it's to save her partly but gratitude and romantic feelings aren't the same, in this drama it's shown how she slowly falls in love with him not just cause he saved her. Let me ask you, would you marry a stranger with a mysterious past that could possibly endanger you and your family just because they saved your life multiple times(let's also make ML unattractive)? I'm not discrediting ML for saving her but I don't think even he wants her to marry him just cause he saved her, how long would the relationship last with only gratitude?) in the palace?? He kept on asking her to open up and she did but what about him? Why did he hide such a huge secret after getting her trust? Let's be realistic here but I respect your opinion.😂
