The stone face is ML personality, he's warm around shaoshang. It's subjective whether it's overrated or not(I've also seen people with the same opinion as you). But majority like it. Part 2 is way more interesting(imo) it delves into ML revenge arc and there's a plot twist coming up, don't know if that will excite you to keep watching. If it doesn't it's best to drop and watch something you enjoy.
