i haven't seen this yet but judging from the plot and the cast, is it fair to say that this is a step down from beyond evil, hotel de luna, and the crowned clown... for Yeo Jin goo? (not being rude but genuinely asking bc i usually love his choices but this one just seems very meh and weird to me at this point in his career)
Idk if I'm watching a different drama than everyone else, but from the comments and the reviews i was expecting a very convoluted plot that i would have a hard time understanding, but I'm halfway through (ep 5) and it's pretty straightforward so far, does it get complicated towards the end?

Romance is not for him. He was incredible in sweet home and navillera, he shines best in non romance related melodrama, melancholy, and intensity. He has a very special heartbreaking subtlety to him. Those who say he can't act just haven't seen him employ his strengths in the stories and genres that fit him.
Thank youuu <3 I'm a huge fan of the original but I'm also a huge fan of Korean adaptations, so i was really looking forward to this and hoping it would work out. I don't want to hate it, but at the same time i had high expectations. I'll keep watching tho because i want to give it a chance.
it's stripping away the whole fun of showing how their intricate plans unfold. the pace is way too fast, they're just showing one result after another without letting you follow the pieces of the puzzle. so many plot holes and "how did he get there?". the interesting appeal about money heist is following their fun and genius journey and building the mystery of "how the hell are they gonna pull this off?" that has you sitting on the edge of your seat all while giving room for character development so that you get invested in the characters and feel immersed in the heist. instead, this remake only provides a very non gratifying anticlimactic chain of events that makes this whole thing seem way too easy and half hearted.
Still holds the title of one of the best pilot episodes in kdramas. That FL tho is not it no matter how much they try to convince you she is. Soo-ah was his fucking soulmate. When will kdrama writers free Kwon Na-ra from this second lead injustice she's living in??
Dropped after 10 episodes. I was really expecting it to get more interesting but it's just too simple and repetitive. It doesn't have enough storyline to be plot oriented, and it doesn't have enough substance to be character oriented, so it's just somewhere in the middle of mediocre land. Also, it has some of the most clumsy dialogue I've ever seen. It's such a shame because i was really looking forward to seeing park ju hyun and chae jong hyeop as leads.
The finale started so perfectly and then it proceeded to go downhill. I really do believe that the show overall up until the first 30 mins of episode 16 is great, the last 40 mins were just so stupid and ruined the whole thing.
I still don't understand how people found this confusing.. i was expecting this to be really bad because the popular opinion is that the writing fell off in the second half, but i really don't feel it, or did i just walk in with low expectations? I'm at episode 12 and i still don't see this as poorly written or confusing. 8/10 so far
Nowhere near as good as the movie, and that's saying something because Lee Min Ki is my favourite actor, but the…
I was actually considering watching it for lee minki and because I liked the concept of the movie. Disappointed to hear it's not really good, but i might give it a go just for lee minki when i have nothing to watch
