I'm rewatching this after 4 years because I wanted to see it while already knowing the truth so I can focus on details. on my first watch, I was one of those people who did not see it coming at all but later I found out some people apparently guessed it from the start. Now that I'm rewatching, I cannot believe how obvious it was! True that there's more to it that just "who is thr murderer?", and it gets more convoluted, but there were sooo many signs that it was him.

Just finished episode 6, and this drama started as so much more. the first 4 episodes made me bawl my eyes out because they were so real and raw and very well made, this messy love triangle is the least interesting part of their journey, please tell me this won't be a significant part until the end! Also, I'm sorry but the casting for kim sanghak is terrible I'm surprised no one is talking about it, too hideous and boring for a ml role with this much emotional weight especially when he has to fill the shoes of og sanghak.

Finally this is actually happening, it feels like it's been in production since the beginning of time

yep! started out very strong now I'm struggling to finish it, the plot became super sloppy with the Jang Kang situation and a lot of things make no sense

Ibliss/satan/lucifer... and jinn/demons/angles/spirits... exist in a billion of religious and literary texts, they have been subject to infinite interpretations, inspirations, and stories. Different beliefs view them in different ways. The concept of satan is not property of one religion. Every religion views itself as superior, and no one should dictate stories based solely on their own background and belief system. I'm not saying that media platforms/content have the freedom to disrespect other religions, but disrespecting a religion can manifest in belittling or persecuting people based on their culture and history for example while taking advantage of their resources; a korean drama inspiring a genie character from satan (a supernatural creature that has been subject to a million interpretations even in a single individual religion's texts) while it wa filmed in UAE is NOT disrespectful. Come on, let's employ some critical thinking. And I'm not an outsider btw. I just don't condemn literary or artistic expressions from my narrow perspective, unless something is directly impacting people's safety and dignity. Satan will be just fine. You are free to watch whatever you want to watch, but don't completely invalidate something for such a trivial reason and put it toe to toe with actual real issues.

This is not an Arab/muslim drama, therefore it doesn't have to abide by any religious rules. The fact that it shot in Dubai is purely from a business/location standpoint. You think when Arab or muslim people shoot movies in Europe they feel obliged to adhere to christian or Jewish beliefs in story telling? Literally what are you talking about. Also, it doesn't claim to represent a religious story, it's just fantasy, it's literally about a magic genie. This reminds me of the people who protested against Harry Potter because it has witchcraft. There are plenty of disrespectful behaviour out there that are truly racially and bigotry motivated, don't waste your advocacy on bullshit.

Because the entire world doesn't cater to your beliefs and it's a korean drama, it literally isn't that deep! If you're uncomfortable, watch something else, that doesn't mean others can't watch

I don't want to come off as rude, I just wanted to make sure. In ethnic households, it has been very common to wash the hair and take body showers separately throughout the week, and this is due to a combination of lack of availability of hot water/accessibility and/or a habit, where unlike in western cultures, people don't necessarily wait for shower time to clean themselves but rather there are instances of personal grooming/washing up throughout the day. Of course, people don't exclusively clean up this way, but it's a normal alternative. It's not that that they clean the hair and ignore everything else, but you can say they don't necessarily need to take a full body shower at the same time every day because they do other ways of grooming and keeping clean throughout the day. Also, there are many ethics of general hygiene in the culture that contribute to the general cleanliness of their surroundings, one example would be no shoes indoors. It's hard to explain because it's very culturally nuanced, but I hope it made some sense.
