stellar cast, great director and screenwriter, really really boring drama I'm sorry. It almost feels outdated, like this would've been special if it was released in 2016 or something.
My issue with this show is that it's full of great ideas supported by a great cast but something about the writing is off, characters seem to say in 5 minutes what could be said in 3 sentences. It definitely lingers unnecessarily, a subject matter like this one needs to be handled with a different pace, why are they writing business politics like a melodrama?
Slight spoiler ahead:Like... why is it NECESSARRY for them to have met in childhood ? WHY? WHYYYYY???? Every time!!!…
I came here to say this. At this point, it seriouslt takes me out of stories, like it was great without it, every show is great without it like whyyyyy do kdramas think that love is real only when they've had a childhood connection and that somehow makes them meant to be? How is that so common??! Such a weird hill to die on.
so fun, always happy to see the specially charming and criminally underrated jin kijoo, and seo kang joon of course in his big post military comeback, great to see him after so long in a meaty role where he can be cool and funny. I've been having such a kdrama slump, I don't think I've ever dropped as many dramas as I did this month, the last drama that truly wowed me was light shop and I feel like this is gonna be a fun refreshing addition to the catalogue this year.
I did end up watching them after all, and yes they were better than the ones before, but the drama overall was not engaging enough for me personally, so I've been over it, but it's not bad.
