To those who act like this isn't a bl can't you see all the development we've had since the first episode? It was slow, subtles but it makes sense you can't switch crushes in just a second and it takes time to let go and finally let your feelings become a new star

I do understand some people being disappointed with the earlier episodes especially compared to the webtoon but I don't think the drama is "treating heesu like a secondary character" the point of his character is that he's sidelined, the "shadow" and slowly takes his independence. I think it's actually important to develop the other characters to then show Heesu and why he's so attached to Chanyong and why he starts to want to change that. Honestly see how oblivious he is with people having crushes on him he needs a reason to distance himself a bit to see more clearly.

And for the addition of a straight couple I sadly think it's the price to have a longer bl drama for now in Korea, in a few years maybe it won't have to be necessary but look at other country like Thailand they also had adaptation where they "straight washed it" to make it more palatable to general audience but they still revolutionized it all (lovesick, kiss me again,...) let's think about this being a step towards the right direction and hope for better next time

I think the biggest issue with QiQi is that she never really saw Song Cong for who is actually and just image of the promising perfect boy. She never really gave any thoughts about his familial situation or finance. It's her own fault if she showed too much attention to what others think

'When I fly towards you' has a similar vibe though with even more focus in the friendship group and less emotional moments

It's crazy that because the drama took the time to build the relationship piece by piece without pressing it I really have the feels like our characters, I feel how happy they both are

So sad we only have ep 23 today 😭 and it was a pretty sad one to even though I do like the way it's showing a progression in every characters and their relationship, I really love this drama SO MUCH

No they even changed some things from the novel so there is even less love geometry going on, the minimum necessary for this type of friends to lovers but not too frustrating either

Episode 21 has me 🤭🤭🥰🥰 I LOVE the main romance so much, it's the perfect friends to lovers they make me so giddy

I think it's also a good way to show Huan'er's character, that she's not bitter and cherish her friendship a lot. Which explains why it takes a while to realize how she feels towards XiChi. She sees friendship as very important contrary to QiQi who stays pretty selfish and is friend with people only if she "gets something out of it". They're kind of foil of each other, QiQi is pretty selfish whereas Huan'er has been shown to be pretty selfless as she takes other opinions into account a lot. Haha sorry for the block of text your comments just made me wonder why indeed QiQi comes back into the storyline

That woman senior is so red flag too, she really forcefully cancelled a show of someone's hard work just because she wants to flirt with a guy that has showed absolutely NO sign of reciprocating and even tried to have nothing to do with her 😮‍💨😮‍💨 that's not because it's a woman towards a man that it's suddenly okay. I feel bad for XiChi he obviously felt very uncomfortable when she was being all touchy with him under the presence of taking his measurements

I think she's putting on a mask, once again we see her not really caring about Huan'er because she only calls her because she's waiting for SC and because she doesn't want to appear desperate so that SC doesn't put on his walls. Technically for now she thinks she's the girl closest to him so she doesn't feel threatened but I don't think she will appear as cool of she realize there is also Du Man there who's cordial with Song Cong right now

I must say after watching up to episode 10 I think the best comparaison I have for a drama with a similar vibe is reply 1988 ! The compound house, the different family "dramas", the friendship being a big focus, not everything gets better directly or even at all but it's still hopeful. And the romance is very slow but you can see the foundation building 😁

I'm starting to not like Qiqi much, it felt like she only became friend with Huan'er to get close to Song Cong and she seems to be a bit immature. Honestly it's stupid to want to choose a stream just for your crush :/
I hope she gets better but I've seen spoiler that don't seem to go that way :/ let's hope the drama makes her better ?

Just go read the webtoon then because she isn't a teacher in it I think they made that change to easily bland the two season but there not supposed to be at the same time and you understand why this two needs to talk about Hamin

As some other people has said previously some people needs to learn to differentiate bad acting and unlikeable character that has anger issues and clearly overacting. Mix isn't a bad actor, it's just that we saw Win being the spoiled brat that he is most of this first ep and he's in a bad place almost all this ep. For a part of it his dad just died or his farm is going bankrupt (even if he could probably save it if he stop being to prideful...).

And finally Korn was already annoyed by his aunt and uncle and learn about Korn at that time so he's anger grow quickly. Also Mix said himself that Korn and Win were already kind of more than friends that didn't label themselves as we have seen with the ice cream scene. (He said it in the L'Oreal live)

Honestly this first ep was okay for me, not the best of the world but did presented the plot and character pretty well so... Yes it doesn't have the prettiest cinematography but not the worst either
