Usually series like these are good ending with just one season, but then they try to make a S2 and it goes downhill

I've been putting this on hold for the longest time. I think it is because I already watched so many zombie based series that my expectations are low or I just don't find it interesting anymore. The last zombie kdrama that i watched was "dark hole" which was really good. Is this similar in terms of quality and plot?
