I think i will see ren charachter later and how gorya and thyme problem after they fall in love.
Personally, i already watch all ver. I never ship the renxgorya charachter in korean, chinese and taiwanese ver. But in hanadan season 2, makino and domyouji just so confusing im actually okay if makino ended up with rui (which is impossible anw, because out of all ver imo makino is the one that looks the most in love with the male lead..).

-Idt ren and thyme rivalry started faster, based on the teaser for ep 3 looks like they will still go in line with prev version (im talking about 2005 japanese ver) where ren will still go to follow mira. He is just a bit more empathetic in general, and he isnt just some total silent weirdo without emotion or autism or emotionally constipated sad boy with teary eye all the time like the other ver. He kept to himself but not to that point.

-kavin is also a bit darker/mellow from the start, in other version we wont see that side of him untill way later. But this one is just looking sad a lot of time (or maybe thats just how win act the charachter out

-the japanese ver of mj is also not completely useless, if anything by the first half of the show he is more involve in the story than the kavin of that. But i guess the kdrama ver make him totally irrelevant most people forget that.

-they also make the student from this ver to be more involved with the bullying and not just mindless people that put f4 on pedestal and support them (when f4 change, they all just magically nice too etc), like how in k ver, the ML is the one telling the friend to lick his shoes but here its a suggestion from other student etc. And eventho it seems that the bullying is more intense, they actually cut a lot of toxic trait of the male lead(which imo if they dont, honestly it will be hard to believe he can change to be better)

Also, they make it less comical than the other ver (not sure in the future, looks like Thymexgorya will also have those funny part based on some preview), that even when they make a jokes its as subtle as possible because they already set the theme to be darker from the very first ep (aside from the 3 mean girls which is still very comical imo).

i myself pretty indifference with the k ver, its just funny you mention them being 25 ep as one of the reason you dislike it yet saying you lik the 2018 ver which were waaaay more draggy in terms of episode

U are right, people are acting like rui is also love makino the way domyouji did thats why people be like "he is going to be the ultimate sad boy". He didnt, sure he likes her but it wasnt to that point

I think the mj here is actually someone very wise. He multiple times remind thyme if he went too far. He is the only one reaching out to Thyme after he got kicked and even care enough about the consequence of that to their life (while ren only think of Mira, kavin and his playboy life and thyme with his kidnapping masterplan). I think mj is more mature than his counterpart here

I actually tho that part gonna be after thyme ask her on a date and she originally plan on not going untill she remember it because everything remind her of thyme

You know, i love it when ren come save the day and all but the scene in front of the poster is always unnecessary. We know he's in love with someone else so why tf is he playing with a girl heart like that(lets be real he knows how much he affect her) and give her some false hope

mj didnt call out Thyme SA tho, he is calling out Thyme for giving red card to a girl. Thyme is the one getting angry at those boys for sexually assaulting her because he actually ask them why arent they doing something else and call them stupid for attempted sa.

i guess i can kinda see MJ calling out Thyme and it not exactly a contrast to his 1st ep charachter (and you can see how he is also the only one that care enough about Thyme well being because he is the only one trying to reach out to Thyme after the kick), but Kavin is just weird, he get silent in the prev episode when mj and thyme talk about giving re card to a girl and even trying to tell the girls as to why thyme do what he did, call gorya stupid girl at the start of the ep and said that she wont affect f4 or thyme so just let it be. But suddenly he told Thyme to stop?

Which is why its weirder. They dont actually care about the bullying or the people getting bullied and they show that in ep 1, but suddenly they act like a saint here trying to make it seem like the red card game is all just Thyme when they couldnt even care about gorya at the start of the episode
