Just got around to watch it...a bit sceptical when i saw the director since his work isnt really.....great to say.
The pace is a bit slow, an everyday small problem that stacked up to somehow annoy and sadden you. Everybody got a problem, everybody trying to live another day. A contrast to me who actually like something fast paced and full on drama, lmao. But its okay, its something that i can enjoy between stuff.
Still waiting for some kinda twist of what kimhan did.
And damn Mai Davikah is one gorgeous woman...like you are telling me they ignore someone with a face like that????? Impossible irl.
Welp, final episode..... Okay so as a standalone episode, i do like it. A nice light closing and unlike a lot of people i dont actually expect them to get married at the end. The amnesia arc is way too short, im contemplated if it was good or bad. Good because no unnecessary drama and new love triangle, bad because ..cmon thats just too short. I love the scene in the rain, prob my fave scene in the episode.
So overall i guess i like the series. Will prob rewatch it multiple times (especially ep 1,4,6 and 9). The series imo peaked at ep 10, after that its either hit or miss. But some scene are just soooo sooo good (specially the one in the ep i list ). My complain would be for a show that was emphasizing no violence, somehow it normalized the violence to thyme and even make it a comic relief up till the last ep ( thyme get stabbed in the stomach, i know gorya's kick is to remind thyme of the first ep but c'mon, the guy just get out of the hospital). It is specially weird because the show made him stop being violent and yet he will still get kicked and punched in every episode.
The romance is also a bit eh...i dont expect them to be so romantic(which works so much better when they are still in the 'not dating' phase but after? Cmon, this is supposed to be romance comedy drama), have too much pda and always mushy mushy cant live with the love of their life(they are each other first gf/bf and their personality arent really overly romantic so i get that) but the constant interruption when they are being romantic or they made it so that thyme will do/say something silly and poof...the romantic scene end with a goat sound 🙄 or fighting is disappointing .
Not sure if rosalyn redeem herself, i like it that way, she did one kind thing...doesnt mean she suddenly become an angle .
Another complain is we never actually get to know gorya as an individual. Her interest, what she is good at, her athletic scholarship etc. Aside from being a strong girl that stand up to bullying, thyme's love interest and overall kind girl we dont really know who she is.
Also, why do fans need to turn the brightness up 200% level just to properly see the kiss ...like that was so dark you could change the actor and nobody will know.
I guess we also dont really know much about other f4 member. They have good scene, have good story(eventho its just a kfc commercial for mj), and i guess it being 16 episode kinda hard to fit more (but like...who is ren's family and why are they always letting their son go anywhere he wants tho ...). I love f4 in this ver, because they feel like actual friend who grew up together and not just 4 guys that hang out occasionally.
Some people complain about tia not having much in the series..i do like her this way tho. Because honestly i can feel how much she loves thyme and always want the best for him without making any of the scene comedic(except her first scene) and no unnecessary sister complex from thyme.
Also, whats up with double k? What happened to them? Kavin reject kaning in the car so they arent a thing? Not even after kaning help him having a closure with mona? Like...it wasnt even open ending ..its just ..idk what even is that. Literally nothing after that scene. Nothing that say they are friend, nothing that say they are more than friend.

After reading some thread on twt, ep 15 shouldve put some flashback from gorya pov...just to show us her feelings for thyme...because literally almost everything ren did in ep15 is a parallel to what she been trough with thyme. I know gorya looks sad and all in ep 15 to maybe "show us" her feelings but what a miss opportunity. We never really get gorya's pov on her relationship with thyme (because everything always feels like its thyme's pov since he is the one actively pursuing gorya...which make sense since its his choice and gorya doesnt actually ask for a thyme in her life at first) nor do we get a lot of romantic scene 🙄

If anything it is a disrespect for tu and dew for getting their name behind kavin charachter. I do think kavin story get very little ( i said in my comment regarding prev ep of how they should spread kavin story to 2 eps just to give it a better build up and more hype). But expecting his charachter to get the same amount of screentime with bright's charachter just doesnt make sense since not even the 2nd lead in any adaption where their name was 2nd in the credit ever get the same amount of st with the male lead.

Why would you expect that when he wasnt the first lead nor the second. Also, win went to casting audition and he tried multiple role including ren, but got accepted for kavin. So there ur answer of why he didnt play ren

Okay, first of all, thoroughly enjoy that especially after finding the last 3 eps quite boring.
I saw comment about ridiculous storyline...soo...are u guys new to f4 universe or? Because the whole premise of f4 IS ridiculous. And at this point in every version is ridiculous and only beaten by the amnesia arch. So i just take it as it is and not minding of how the storyline go. Also, i would rather have the episode where i can feel things rather than just the more realistic but boring episode.
I feel like they should've spread kavingkaning story into 2 eps before. Aside from giving that story a better build up, it also make thymegorya story less stagnant. I know they made it as one problem then next ep gonna ve how they solve it, but they already put talay, and lita arch end in different ep, thus making the TG story feels stagnanted since they deal with things outside of their own pov about each other.
I like that they made thyme went overseas after the breakup not before the engagement arch. I like when gorya told thyme's mom that eventho she lose, thyme will still win and how they present that scene.
But there is literally no need for the old thyme to cb. There is literally no need to make the old thyme the ceo. If gorya just left, thyme would prob be indifferent about life anw there is no need for his old charachteristic to make a comeback. But, i guess they want to make it so that thyme wont look for gorya, because any other reason for the break up, thyme will still probably chase after her. But there is still no need for the mom to ask for the old thyme to cb.
I used to ask how will they redeem thyme's mom .. now i just wish they dont.
I honestly just...dont understand ren, what is the reason of him being this supportive. Like, yeah she is a good friend, but it doesnt even feels like he had romantic feelings for gorya but he is somehow so invested to make thyme and gorya work out
