The narrative is very one-sided. Only telling Jom's point of view and no one else's. The story is divided into two parts. Part one is essentially Jom getting into a car accident due to his mind being clouded by the thought of his longtime lover breaking up with him and announcing his engagement to his new fiance. When Jom inadvertently travels through a wormhole, he finds himself in 1920s Thailand, where he is forced to work as an errand boy raising pigs and serving a foreign master who takes him in after seeing him struggle after being transported in time. He meets Khun-Yai, and they develop a slow attraction. Their relationship is similar to that of a master and his servant.
Part two is where it starts all over again but this time it is more painful. Jom is then transported to another wormhole and in to another timeline where Khun Yai's face is now Commander Yai set in late 18th century Thailand. This is where alot of the angst, pining and loving cranked twice.
Ending - After being jailed for causing the killing of the opposing soldiers who attacked Commander Yai's camp, Jom is visited by Commander Yai in his jail cell in order to let him escape the death penalty. Commander Yai makes a vow, a prayer and a promise that he and Jom will meet in all lifetimes and this makes Jom cry. Jom is then transported back to the event where his car accidentally plummets on to the sea. Fast forward, Jom is saved and he gets back to work on the house where he and Khun-Yai (1920's Thailand wormhole) were once master and servant. The modern day Yai appears and asks if he has been waiting long. Jom responds saying not long enough as he did. They get married and live as husbands. During the prologue, Yai mentions that his past incarnations couldn't help himself on dotting Jom as his fierce side (Commander Yai) and loving side (Khun-Yai) seems to want him after years of yearning. It turns out Khun-Yai never married and waited for Jom all his life. Same with Commander Yai.
