I think that's normal. I have seen many people in other dramas ship main character with secondary character. And wish they both end up together. I've never understood why people do it. Because we are watching drama to see main couple to have happy ending. And secondary character exist there to help mc.
But people do ship main character with secondary character.

He was taking advantage that she is physically and mentally weak. Eve was uncomfortable when he confessed he cheated. She doesn't know how to react at that. Maybe she wants to slap him or don't want to waste her emotions. People around Eve are making situation more complicated.
