I didn't think it was possible to write a good story after a couples' "happy ending". Which in this story was Hae-In's and Hyun-Woo's wedding three years ago. The writer, Park Ji-eun, proved to me that it is possible. I hope to see her work on another kdrama in the future.
The storyline of this kDrama is so unique. This story begins AFTER the "happy ending" (Their wedding three years ago). I'm interested to see how this story ends. Any guesses?
Is True Beauty on Netflix? It's not on Netflix here in USA.
Same here. I'm not Korean so i have to read subtitles. Even with this, I find the production of kdramas to be way better than American sitcoms and dramas.
I've watched Hollywood content my whole life and i can't emerge a scene that had made me feel any emotions -- its all about guns, murders, blah blah blah. The highest rated American dramas are those NCIS series. The comedy sitcoms are no where to be seen anymore. This is the indicator of the American culture.
Kdramas on the other hand has that effect on me, almost every episode. Also, has subject matters I can relate to that I can't with Hollywood -- studying, family, extended family (grandparents, uncles, etc). I'm interestedcto see which KDramas can make that cultural shift for Americans and the world, so I'm interested in knowing which series are highest rated.
Since covid, i have been watching kdramas non-stop. I don't think I'm ever going back to Hollywood content as my go-to anymore.
