Does this get any better? I am on 15th episode and nothing interesting happens and my patience is running out.…
I'm on my 5th watch, and I'm still discovering details I missed in my previous viewings. It's still so interesting and fun. 😄 There are a lot of strategies, twists, and turns going on — never a dull moment.
It's also very fast-paced with a lot of action, so I'm not sure what you mean by there being lots of dialogue, because there really weren't any long monologues or political debates. Are you sure you're watching the right drama?
If you're watching on YouTube, make sure it's the correct drama. There are a lot of edited drama channels on YouTube that take bits and pieces of scenes from different dramas, stitch them together, and call it a new drama.
Just a thought: should this page mention that it’s Season 1? I’m not sure what the MDL practice is—whether different seasons get their own pages or if all three seasons are lumped into one page. I’ve noticed that some Korean dramas have separate pages for different seasons.
This drama is actually really good! Never a dull moment! And I love how boss Charmaine's character is! Tomorrow is the drama's finale in Canada and I can't wait! 🙂 I hope TVB will make this more widely available to English-speaking audiences. It's been a long while since I last encountered a TVB drama that I can get invested in.
I'm reading the book and it's so good! I'm so looking forward to the drama! The way they kept the production under wraps and ID'd everyone at the entrance of the set, the mystery is making me itch! 😄
Sohu Entertainment reports on industry insiders’ views on actors in recent dramas and the increasing selectiveness of platforms when launching new projects. They mentioned XiaoZhan’s drama The Infinite 10 Days 😎
“Producer Teng Fei agreed with Aron’s assessment, stating that although platforms are facing financial constraints, they are still willing to invest in worthwhile projects. ‘Platform funds will be reserved for the safest projects—either those with extremely high cost-effectiveness or those with strong IP that can be developed into a series. For example, The Infinite 10 Days.’
The Infinite 10 Days became an instant hit as soon as filming began. Not only is it a top-tier IP with a 9.9 rating on Tomato Novels, but both the director and screenwriter have notable representative works, and top-tier actor Xiao Zhan has joined the cast. In Teng Fei’s view, platforms are willing to develop such projects into series because this approach extends the IP’s lifecycle, reduces the risk of a single investment, and offers more predictable returns.”

I disagree with the idea that “winning a Golden Rooster means your acting is exceptional.” Awards are just the cherry on top—they don’t determine or define an actor’s success. Actors perform in works created for audiences, and ultimately it’s the audience’s response that reflects an actor’s impact: whether they resonate, spark conversation, and become a true household name.
The real measure lies in the public’s excitement around a project—the buzz it generates, the surge of engagement on social media, and its ability to reach beyond the entertainment sphere and capture broader interest. It’s also seen in a work’s longevity: when it continues to inspire enthusiasm and discussion long after it has finished airing. That is the result of successful storytelling, and Xiao Zhan has clearly earned that kind of affirmation from audiences.
This recognition is also reflected in the caliber of directors he has collaborated with. He continues to push himself, refining his craft with each role, so it’s fair to expect that every new character he brings to the screen will be another memorable one.
As for awards—they’re simply a bonus. And when they come, they’re worth celebrating, just as we did earlier this year when he received SMG’s Best Actor Award.

Legend of Zang Hai? That's a mainstream drama, not an idol drama. "The Longest Promise" was the last idol drama Xiao Zhan did. Everything that came after that are mainstream dramas.

Hello there. You might be new to the fandom. Xiao Zhan is no longer regarded as a “traffic star.” He has long established himself as a well-respected actor with a strong portfolio of high-quality mainstream dramas and collaborations with top-tier directors. In addition, he has been a leading man in films since 2019, and all of his movies have performed very well at the box office.
Most recently, he also received the SMG TV Series Quality Awards Outstanding Quality Star / SMG Best Actor Award for Legend of Zang Hai.
You mean as a guest star to promote his upcoming dramas. Xiao Zhan can decide if he wants to appear on variety…
This is what you wrote "I know certain fans of him are either overprotective or control freak. They just don't want him to participate in any variety shows.
Xiao Zhan said don't take photos or videos when he is filming his drama. Does BJYX listen. NO. He also said don't release any information regarding his visit and schedules in Qingdao. Does BJYX listen. NO."
You went from talking about "certain fans" to bringing up BJYX. Hence, I corrected you that BJYX are not recognized as XZ's fans so of course they won't listen. It's a known fact BJYX are XZ's antis. Has always been and still are.
