Firstly, He has to pay alimony because he is obligated to by law. It has nothing to do with him doing right or wrong.

You say it's ignorance to assume everyone is open to other choices. So, let's assume he did it for the better for FL but ends up doing a far worse thing than what could have possibly happened if he just told her the truth about infertility. He hurt her worse eventually and doesn't show any remorse till now despite seeing how she has been living her life in hell ever since she knew about the whole fake affair thing. All she gets back from him after all this BS was an effin sorry in a court room? It's interesting how you don't see the elephant in the room here. You cannot sell the ML character with the whole infertile reason at all. It will only make him worse for the kind of choice he made because of it if it were to be true. The only way for his character justification I see is a traumatic/tragic past wrt kids.

So how does that justify all the emotional trauma the FL was subjected to for years just coz she was made to believe that her beloved sold himself to lust when they loved each other so much for years? Come one, mate.. The FL being unjustly made to live a life of emotional baggage cannot be justified that easily just coz ML felt she wouldn't be open to that idea of adoption. It was not his decision to make in the first place. This is why I say it's even harder to sell his character with that reason. There is no hope unless the writer brings in some kind of traumatic past into the picture

I understand but the issue here is you are not able to sympathise with ML even with that reason which makes it even more harder to sell his character to us. To make it worse, he is doing zero effort to reconcile with her despite showing hints of still liking her. Unless the writer comes up with something incredibly convincing wrt his behavior, his character is pretty much down the drain in my book.

I never mixed two worlds though. When I say realistically, it surely means IRL i.e in real life, people sleep with their bf/gf all the time. The FL does the same here (likely). I just reasoned as to why majority feel uncomfortable with FL sleeping with SML in drama world when a bf and gf sleeping together isn't really an issue in real world.

Exactly. IMO, writer definitely did ML dirty at this point. I can see no hope of him showing any hints of reconciling with her. Someone mentioned infertility as the reason he did what he did but that makes him even worse. I know they will give a ML-FL happy ending, but it needs a lot of selling in the next 6 episodes especially from ML pov.

That would be again deadass stupid from the ML. He could have easily told her the truth and discussed the possibility of adoption at this age and time. So if this turns out to be true, it's even more hard to sell the ML character than it already is. The writer is definitely doing him dirty at this point.

I know, this is how majority will feel because of the rooting of ML-FL endgame. But if you think realistically, she is single and divorced. She starts dating someone and is merely sleeping with her current boyfriend. It's that simple and happens everywhere. I know most people will readily accept it if she sleeps with ML now because everyone wants a ML-FL endgame and want their FL and her body only reserved for ML and vice versa. I just want the writer to break that stereotype and make it realistic :) (but most likely it won't. They are definitely misleading us in the preview unless they make it a drunk one-night stand where she remembers nothing )

I don't know if it's bad writing of ML character, but my curiosity based on ep5 preview is that still only FL seems to have this jealousy over ML hanging out with SFL meaning only she probably wants to try and reconcile subconsciously. ML showed zero hint of jealousy or even bothered by it when FL told him that she has lunch plans with SML. He is never shown to be bothered by them hanging out. So I am curious how the writer is planning to make us believe he suddenly unearths all that love for her if he wants the ML-FL endgame. But at this point, it feels like the writer has done seungjo dirty.

And although I want it to be true, I don't think FL slept with SML. She probably just took a shower in his place and they misled us in the preview as usual ;) But I really hope she did though coz it would be a greater conflict for us to ponder. Like a FL character that is trying to get over her ex by resorting to intimacy with her current bf and still not able to get over him. I would like to see that, ngl

Fair enough but I am not investing too much into the characters or plot tbh. I still believe this drama is meant for a casual watch that simply touches upon some heavy subjects on it's way. So I am really interested to see how ML and FL reconcile. What's interesting for me is that, at this point, only the FL doesn't seem to be over him. ML, although still shows hints of loving her, he maintains his calm and distance when FL mentions SML to him. There is zero hint of jealousy. So intriguing how he will suddenly develop/regain all that lost love for her if the writer goes for the usual ML-FL endgame. It looks like they will seeing the preview with FL's jealousy and ML's depressive look. This is just a lighter version of interest of love from next episode I think 😂

FL ending up with the SML and ML ending up with the SFL would be so cool here but we all know it ain't happening. pch pch. And from the preview, the FL is clearly jealous of ML hanging out with SFL when she is literally dating SML already (maybe even slept with him). Lmao, I am all for this chaos though. Sign me up 😂

Yeah, some topics are heavy like infidelity, custody etc but it's a drama that's more inclined towards comedy. So I am guessing we shouldn't look too much into it on a serious note but instead in a light hearted manner

I fear this drama is not a serious one like most yall perceive it to be. It's just an easy watch without too much investment into the plot. I absolutely love it because it fills the void of something easy to watch without having to spend my energy into understanding/follow the plot carefully. Just one episode at a time and it's fun that way xD

Her friend is equally culpable though. She was literally pestering/pushing her to sleep with him 🤣
