i really see potential in this one - genre is really my cup of tea. Even though villian is kinda obvious and it only have 4 episodes... while they could do whole lost footage suspense drama. As for a thing I have problem with... gmmtv Win is an actor, let him change hairstyle and makeup to suit role better, it's part of acting.
if I needed to review first EP with one word it would be - plain. storyline is nothing new but you can still do a lot with it, jd are hot but whole episode lacked wow factor that makes series really blow up
There is flaw in this show... to win dates they need to compate which puts romance in backgrounds. While some contestant didn't have chance to interact because they are too concentrated on winning ... I just don't see any relationship forming with this formula...
i suspected its one of these series where novel is better than drama, because this show don't have any narration voice and lost it plot around ep 2. I get it's slow peaced romance but with more than hour long episode it just come off very boring and uneventful.
So I just finished watching it... as far as overall experience go, it was pretty good. But its main problem lay in the novel it was based on, after reading it I can't say this drama is a good adaptation. They changed relationships and setting from the source material and the more they changed the more plotholes and flaws become exposed. Scriptwriters who adapted it didn't seem to like a novel that much and didn't seem to understand it - since most major changes made the overall experience worse.
To my complete surprise ABAAB managed to be much worse than Star in My Mind. At least in the JoongDunk series…
i can't even blame jd when their original drama as well as os episodes were so uneventful. Not to mention star and abaab were directed by the same person
i don't know what say about this show ... yes i did complete the show but watched in a 2x speed ... and i think…
was thinking the same when i was watching cut version - uncut one cleared it all up and major re-editing improved this show a lot. just check first episode of uncut version - you will notice stark difference
First time ever i dropped a BL just 2 eps b4 its ending like i really tried but it was just too much why there…
episodes are longer - but don't worry it's really add up logic and fill storyline. it also have serious re-editing which hide or cut out many previously cringe scenes and bad acting performance
don't even bother with cut version it's terrible - but uncut one is seriously re-edited and enjoyable to watch if you like drama. not sure who was editor in cut version but he was truly a buther.
