I think there is more logical explanation, number of ads on YT depend on length of video. I bet they realized at some point that if they stretch out this series to 40+ minutes they will get more optimal numbers of ads. Which would explain last episode long recap, 3+minutes opening and BTS, and ending....

Because its GMMTV one of the biggest production companies in Thailand- everyone is aware of what they are capable of producing and some of their recent shows are definitely not it... They have money,, connection and senior staff and many talents under them so when we see something "bad" it's only because they were too lazy to do better.
