Another anti made a big deal of Dylan's asymmetrical eyes a few months ago in this comment thread. LOL Is this the worst that can be said about him? 😂 It's actually a common condition I've noticed in many people, including other celebrities. In fact, I'm glad to see this condition in him as it means he hasn't had cosmetic surgery done. It also proves one of the things media folks like about him, that he is not fussy about how he looks on camera. And that may well be the reason he has been spotted with this condition - coz he doesn't mind being photographed or filmed barefaced, sans make-up. Other celebs with this condition would have probably had it surgically fixed or would make sure not to be caught on camera without make-up or would make sure the camera is angled just so.

So, when I see an actor with perfect eyes, I would now wonder what imperfections were fixed with surgery or hidden with make-up, strategic camera angles or photoshop 😂

Dylan is considered one of the handsomest cdrama actors. Those who have seen him in person say the camera does not do justice to his exceptional beauty. How much more handsome would he be if he had cosmetic surgery done on his eyes! But, far from being shallow, he has accepted his imperfections instead of going under the knife. And I'm glad. His eyes mesmerize like no other; there's something in them that captivates. And I think it has something to do with their natural, pure, genuine and earnest expression. Better not mess with nature. Anyway, only those looking for a flaw would see it or let it bother them.

In fact, Dylan's condition is nothing compared to more serious conditions afflicting other actors who are also on lists of the handsomest cdrama actors. For one, some older actors are already showing their age. Another "flaw" is lack of height. Generally, cdrama viewers seem to consider actors more than 6 ft tall more attractive than shorter ones. Still another "flaw" is bad attitude that would naturally turn off not only the public but also the media and other C-ent industry players.

Dylan still has many years to go before his face starts showing his age. He is at least 6 ft tall. He is media's #2 favorite artist in 2023 because of his great attitude.

Anyhow, Dylan is much more than his exceptional physical beauty. His zest for life, sunny disposition, noble values, sweetness, cuteness, coolness, sexiness and strong personality built upon hard work and determination, make him extraordinarily beautiful inside and out.

Bravo! I agree. Let's try to do what little we can to discourage negativity and encourage positivity on social media. It is surely a David vs Goliath struggle but at least we can say we tried going against the evil flow instead of getting swept up in it 😊

I agree. Logic presupposes that a drama about a finance journalist and a CEO of a venture capital firm would have business talks. Alas, it seems like logic escapes many viewers nowadays, just as a drama with story and characters that are not cookie-cutter escapes them. Too bad. Instead of enjoying a gem like OFL, they let other factors like illogical expectations and envy rob them of a good time.

Same here, can't move on, especially since Twitter does not let up on posts about it. One of the things I love about OFL is how the campy humor puts a tonque-in-cheek spin on otherwise cheesy scenes

Trisolarians have an advanced techological know-how, at least 400+ years more advanced than earthlings. If we currently have the ability to push asteriods that pose a danger to Earth out of harm's way and Trisolarians have the technology to monitor Earth 400+ lightyears away, why can't Trisolarians push any of their 3 suns away?

You may reckon, the root of the problem is that Trisolarians cannot predict the movement of their suns in the first place, so, how can they put one of them out of track before they harm the planet? But if they are able to monitor earth which is 400+ lightyears away, can't they send signals from all over their planet to detect whether the suns are heading their way or put monitors on the suns and try to deflect one of them before it causes them harm? Surely, during stable eras they would have been able to gather enough data about their suns to be able to distinguish them from far away and try to deflect one of them upon recognition? And with their advanced technology, they should be able to create simulations that would allow them to know which sun would be best eliminated.

Am I missing something about the 3-body problem? 'Seems to me there's a rather simple way to deal with it. Please see spoiler below. Just wondering if the futility of this solution or some other solutions is discussed in the books that I, currently, don't have time to read.

Poisoned by envy indeed. How people can keep disparaging this drama, usually with negative hyperboles, baffles me endlessly. If putting other actors or dramas down is the only way they can make their favorites look good, they should perhaps re-evaluate their choices.

Well said. That youtuber shows that as long as there are gullible netizens, there will be yxhs (internet accounts paid to blacken actors/dramas). She repeated black comments spread by yxhs on Weibo and Douban about flaws like bad lighting and camera angles that afflict many cdramas but were reported as if they're unique to OFL.

She totally misunderstood Shu Yi and the elevator scene. Shu Yi is pretty but not vain. It's not her fault other people point out her beauty. She also has no false humility thus accepts other people's praises of her beauty graciously like a lady. Regarding the elevator scene, as Shi Yan noted, Shu Yi doesn't realize how attractive she is. Like Superman's Lois Lane, Shu Yi doesn't consider the danger she puts herself in when in pursuit of a scoop or, in this case, food. In the elevator, Shu Yi has forgotten about her latest scrape and does what she usually does with Shi Yan - tease him. This scene actually shows Shu Yi's bubbly, sunny and mischievous personality. A petulant girl would have endlessly blamed Shi Yan for making her so hungry she had to court danger looking for food. But instead of nagging Shi Yan for leaving her without food, she teases him. Only people who are so eager to find fault would put a malicious twist to this charming scene.

Just thinking of Jon Snow and Daenerys makes my blood boil again. I really can't understand how Benioff and Weiss could butcher those characters that much. I felt the 8 years I spent on this series utterly wasted. Thus, I didn't watch the prequel and have no intention of watching any other offshoot of GOT. The only reason I watched 3 Body Problem was because I've been intrigued about the cdrama version but was hesitant to start a 30-episode drama that I wasn't sure I would like. The Netflix version whetted my appetite for it.

I had lost respect for the GOT team after what they did to my favorite characters in GOT, so I was not surprised that they butchered the Netflix drama too. There is one good thing I can say about the 8-episode Netflix version - it got me curious to watch the 30-episode Chinese version as I felt hollow after watching the former even though the subject matter - an alien civilization interested in conquering a more hospitable planet that its current occupants are taking for granted - is up my alley. This cdrama is so addictive I stayed up 'til early morning each day I was watching it 😄

I've been rewatching it in-between watching other dramas. I loved it from the first time I watched it and it gets even better during rewatch as I get more familiar with the music and lyrics😊

So true! Aside from their incomparable visuals and chemistry, I love how appropriately campy they both acted their parts. For this type of humor not to become slapstick requires nuanced acting that they were both able to pull off.

Indeed, Shu Yi being far from a cookie-cutter type of FL is truly refreshing. She has flaws which make her realistic and relatable, but her good points more than make up for her flaws. You're right, though she is confused about her feelings thus sucks at making Shi Yan know how she feels, she is loyal to him. She never felt romantic towards Yu You and Yi Yang.

Thanks for pointing this out. I forgot this one and possibly others too. I normally hate misunderstandings in dramas but somehow found the misunderstandings in OFL entertaining, I guess because, as you've said, they mirror real life where we sometimes find it difficult to be completely honest with ourselves and others.

I agree. I just watched Three-body where the root cause of the possible extinction of the human race is man's cruelty. Humans are worse than other animals. Other animals kill to survive. Humans kill (including killing the reputation of an actor or drama) due to envy, pride, greed/money, and other black-hearted reasons.
