The show is actually doing a very good job. Comparing to the manhwa its a definite upgrade. Lot of the problematic stuff were cut out. But the best thing about the show are the amazing leads. Both of them are very good actors. I hope to really see them in more shows.

Love in contract with a very prominent gay character with a good storyline. You should definitely add it to the list.

I like the show even though I don't like love triangles. I know lot of people have different expectation of what this show has to be but if you go in with open mind you might like it.
The shows keeps getting better with each episode. The best thing is that it doesn't take the usual turn anywhere. Also recently I have realized I might be into hot judges from this one and Blind(2022). The characters all follow a similar theme of recovering from childhood traumas. The FL is like a dnd character with a Lady of the court type character. The ML is extremely introverted and I can relate to him the most. The SML seems to annoy people the most but I like his character too because he is meant to be annoying. Also things like his homophobic attitude shows that people like him exist in the same world and reason for the bestie's suffering. The gay bestie has a very interesting storyline but I am afraid there have been few korean dramas where he can end happily with someone, so I don't have my hopes up but I haven't given up yet.

Honestly My bias is Changyu. Whether it is because he was the only person who knew how to make proper use of the show I don't know. But there were a couple of reasons I liked him.:-

First, He was the only member who wanted to date people because of the connection he felt after talking to them rather than searching for ideal person.(which is not wrong either btw)
Second he hasn't mentioned superficial or problematic stuff even outside of the show when the interviews had specifically asked them about masculinity or color of skin etc.
Third he was immediate to cut people who didn't want him but not before he gave his all.

Also I thought the rest were incredibly brave for doing this. So they have my appreciation.

Whatever drama happened BTS or after the show seems like personal relationship issues which is not our buisness to poke our nose so we need to keep out of it. It's not like people have not had these problems. It's just seems wrong to parade it on the sm.

Having said this it would be lovely to see Changyu in a proper high end bl as the lead so that I can fangirl and support him more

Think if we had seen all five of the clan children in mo dao Zhu shi from the beginning. You bring in characters to entice the audience at midpoints. That's the mark of a good writer. Anyway I disagree but these are just personal thoughts. You might be right for all I know.

I know right Park Seo Joon played a teenager in Itaewon class and people still believed him. Apo and jeff played as university students. Off who's nearly thirty played as a college student. Gun and singto play as school students. Why is Earth the only one taking the heat?

I feel like they are in middle school. Mostly my deduction is based on the fact that he is wearing short pants. High schoolers generally wear full pants. That's why earth is acting like that. I also think High schoolers talk would be more raunchy than the cutesy stuff the boys here are doing. I think lot of people think it's high school because the actors are all in their twenties save for Santa. But I agree a slightly less juvenile Earth would have made the show better.

The condensing storyline would only work if it's not a slice of life bl. Because we can see expansion of side characters which is surprisingly well done. Most bl's tend to ignore friends. (My heart still hurts for poor AJ/JJ.) It's adding dimension to them.

Other than the obsession with pale skin which keeps taking me out of the show, it brings up some important issues.

Yes I agree. As I mentioned, I think what he did was utterly wrong but he does not assume he would have gotten the job by only knowing someone. In the beginning even after knowing the chairman personally recommended her he does not show any prejudice only confusion. It's only after finding out that her father knew the chairman that he becomes more jaded. This is directly after the events of her being not punished for leaving without any reason and reinstated back in a job. We all know how difficult it is to do that, especially if it is a highly sought after job. We can mostly understand WYW'S situation because we are seeing her perspective but for him, she keeps getting away with unreasonable situations when she has proven herself to be more than competent in this cutthroat environment. For him he is not going at her because of her autism, he is going after her because of nepotism. Again I am not saying this is not motivated by selfishness or jealousy just that he does not understand WYW's struggle. He does not know that she struggled to get a job even after summa cum laude. Only that she got a job six months after everyone else. Not to mention she is able to get away with so much (like the absence) because her parents seem pretty chummy with the chairman. All I am saying is while what he did was really bad, how would you have handled it if in his place? He would have been fired for any minor mistake but leaving a job for so long without any communication at the least calls for some big action especially since she is a trainee. Are you saying as a disabled woman if I leave work for couple days submitting resignation letter because the world is horribly mysogynist and ableist, I would just be given a warning? As you mentioned obviously horrible people would have been racist to you in your workplace but could you have taken leave because of that especially in the training phase due to that? No the horrible world would not allow that but nepotism would. While WYW's boss understood the circumstances, normally one would be fired. He could have filed a complaint but if she knew the chairman he would be fired. He tried telling his boss but he would not listen. So again I am saying he took the wrong, pathetic route. Yes he is a man but other barriers for example poverty can be just as horrible. So assuming he had some other barrier could he have left the job without prior notice but a resignation form? WYW is at no fault and I am quite happy that her boss is quite undestanding. But taking out the anger of unfair world on him is not productive.Mind you he does not have a job it's just a contract six months after which some of them will be given a job. So excluding the how she got the job how can she get away with such a big thing? Even her skills would not be enough to stop her from getting fired. So he comes to the conclusion it must be nepotism. All this to say we have all seen that one person get away with so much all their life because they are rich or powerful, he probably associated this to WYW. We understand because we are seeing her life. But he cannot see coworkers life. If he was the main character we would see him getting scolded or fired for some minor thing. Or is the assumption that he should believe that an autistic person one can never do anything wrong and just unconditionally accept that she should be given chances because she is not competent enough? That seems an insult to WYW who is trying to show that while certain changes are necessary to the laws she is just as much a rule following prideful lawyer, it would be degrading.

True but how can we compare circumstances? She was born with autism and is also a woman, so the world is going to be horrible and unfair to her but she was also born with high IQ and apparently idetic memory which is a privilege min woo did not have. Also he could have been born without parents or in extreme poverty having to fight his way through any means necessary. I cannot balance these things out because they are different things. When you have no power against someone like WYW who is teacher's pet and bffs with others not to mention has a connection with the boss, he might have seen it as her being a bad person with all the advantages in life. Complaining about her or talking it out might not work. Again I am not defending his actions just judgement that he is doing it with absolute malice.

Personally I donot think Tae soo mi is evil. I would have understood her being called evil if she had abandoned WYW after finding out that she was autistic. She would have got an abortion if not for WYW father stepping in and begging. She could have just not listened to him. But she did. It's wrong of him to direct his anger of how unfair the world is to WYW against her.
Another thing what Min woo did was wrong but his feelings might not be. From his perspective someone got a job due to nepotism. Even if the reason was due to jealousy the fact remains. Not to mention the absence without punishment seems unfair. No matter his circumstances the office would not have allowed so. Like his senior attorney says the right way would have been to discuss among themselves. But a certain leeway must be given to him because it's the failing of society that he does not understand WYW's situation.

The show is tackling some important issues with a slew of charismatic cast. This is a must watch. There brave young people are fighting for change while knowing this might backfire. Having said that the subtitles on gagaoolala could have been better, I believe some important stuff may have been mistranslated.

@Poop I agree with you. But I must warn you I think that the propaganda is spreading too fast. I heard many woman who watched this show have started cutting their hair and leaving their husbands. If by any chance you are having any of these urges I suggest lily fever or heartstopper to clear your palate.
Also incremental progressive was such a big word. Good job. lipstick lesbian, butch. Wow, you are so well versed in lesbian culture. Like you must have looked at lot of videos for this.
Finally I must thank you for standing up to these people and proving to these people how three heterosexual main cast romances is not enough to stop someone from thinking about a single episode 10 sec lesbian couple. Thus we must seperate these and have them create seperate shows for lesbians.

I don't understand all the HJW hate. I emphasize with him more. It's really hard when your insecurities pile up especially if you are dating someone who is like considered way above your league like an k-pop idol. Not to mention the guilt. Especially if you are someone who overthinks stuff. HJW has been constantly been mistreated by the villagers so he probably has low self esteem but after his friend betrayed him it must have plummeted. But I do agree that he could have treated KSJ a little better but then it would seem like he was giving hope and we all know how clingy KSJ can be.
I think the series is beautifully done.

For a bl the show is being unnecessarily heteronormative. Other than that the story is good.
