He’s one of the main director for story of yanxi palace,i also watched his drama the sword and the brocade,his dramas usually is a good quality and has superior cinematography. And about xian yu,maybe there some similarity with lbfad,but not so much actually.

As you said you didn’t go to facebook page,and as someone who read the comments on facebook and twitter,actually many said they don’t want to watch his other dramas because they think his chemistry with jingyi can be top of,and they can’t move on from L&P. I don’t care if they want to stay with L&P forever,but why comment under his other drama,like they are actually insecure,since many ppl actualy waiting for feiyu dramas with dafei and yinglu. If you really read the novel,this one hardly categorized as xianxia,more like mixed between xuanhuan,political and military,with a bit of wuxia,so different genre and chongzi. If this screenwriter also worked with other two screenwriters in that all mystery dramas,so i think she’s very used to work in group. And i think there no use to worry for something that we can’t control, I prefer to hold my opinion about all dramas until they aired,because we never know what happened behind the scenes

It’s true that chongzi was a disaster,but she also had good works before that,so i don’t think it’s fair to judge her only based from one drama,while her other works were good. Yeah,i saw in some dramas recently ppl like second cp more then the main one,but as long as xian yu main cp has strong chemistry and most screentime,i guess this won’t be the case. The team decided to add second cp for the drama,i’m okay as long as they still focus on the main cp,and Hei Nian Qi actually Sima Jiao pet snake,he become human earlier for the drama,and paired him with Hong Luo.
