EPISODE 11This episode was… pure madness and very confusing. The characters have all reached their limits and…
I think there's one forshadowing in this ep: Shinobu's wedding ring with knives scene. It's too unusual for someone storing their (unused) wedding ring in knife holder.
Oh my Godddd asdghfjskshj the creepy psychopath Chiaki is officially BACK. Or more like, he’s never left. I…
Since ep 9, I can see Chiaki gradually loses himself (or we could say he revert to his creepy old self). From eye twitch when Okano said about mother love, washing dishes scene, and creepy stare when he barged in to Shinobu's room (I almost thought he'll do something to her, but then Okano appeared, he glared to him too).
Then I'm convinced by this ep, especially knife scene. How can he said "kill" so casually? And the next scene is... coffee shop scene! He even pretended he just accidentally saw her when it's clear he's standing outside, watching her.
Btw, it's interesting that at coffee shop, Chiaki recalled the confession scene. I think this is from his side, because the way it shows - how he felt when he held Shinobu in his arms, and when Shinobu walked away from him, he recalled how he chased her that night, and after that he gave her intense stare (with hugging asmr sound lmao, I don't get why they chose this).
The sanctuary revelation is the most shocking. Dang it, Chiaki, so you watching her all this time? For YEARS!? D:
I can't read what will happen on next ep. Chiaki suffering too much, if this continues, he'll break down for sure.
Bonus: his painful laugh at ending scene is amazing. My chest hurts just from seeing him.
If I were to give Ep9 a title, it would be “Chiaki and the women in his life” lol. All those women that need…
I hope I'm not the only one who worrying the pan at cooking scene. I was just, "Girl, could you please turn the stove off first? I can see your food burnt there lmao."
Chiaki's patience level is a saint lol. He surrounded by problematic people and yet he can still managed his emotion. The only one who can ticked him off in this episode is Okano.
The new woman at bar is no good. I can see what she could do to/with Yohei. Definitely something terrible (Yohei's carefree attitude is too suspicious, or I'm just too anxious lol).
The last scene, Shinobu wanted to avoid Chiaki again. That's not fair, with those teary eyes, how can he just let you go, Shinobu? Hahaha.
Looks like on the next episode, Shinobu will come to rescue. I think Mihiro will realize why Chiaki falling for Shinobu, and maybe... could let him go? I also wondering what Chiaki will do with his mom.
I wonder if they’re making a parallel (?) between the 1st arc and the 2nd because Ep8 also made a lot of callbacks…
Can I give you an applause for all these details? I barely realize (I'm not good with details) but thanks to you I'm enjoying this series more <3
This episode is amazing, the tension is increasing each episode and this is the most exciting so far. I'm also surprised when Shinobu and Chiaki missed each other at chin-anago scene. How dare they play with us! Hahaha.
The dialog between Shinobu and Yohei also got me hyped up. Finally Shinobu reached her limit and asked for divorce to Yohei. It's freakin 20 years! I can't imagine having a family with someone who always looking down at me for such a long time. Shinobu, you did it! You're so strong! I wanna hug her right now, oh my.
I almost cried when Shinobu called Yuta and he knew it already. Yuta even said that whatever her choice is, he'll be ok. But, I don't know, the vibes and background where he's at are kinda... dark (Shinobu also noticed his tone of speaking). I hope this only me overly interpreted things. It must be hurt for him to know that the parents finally divorced. Please don't give him any pain anymore :'(
Ahh... I want to give big warm hugs for everyone in this series (except for Yohei and Chiaki's mom ofc).
Now I'm intrigued by Okano and Chiaki partnership for new essay manga. Because in preview Chiaki seems to write his feelings to Shinobu, what will Okano do? Okano even realized that's a love story right? (I'm sure, sooner or later, Okano will realize that Chiaki write about Shinobu)
And I wonder if Chiaki's new essay manga got published, will people notice that Hatsukoi Once More are somewhat related? Since Sasaki Mikan is already popular with her title (queen of affair), I'm sure people will more surprised by their exposed affair. I can't never compete Chiaki's braveness with this kind of things lol.
I can't wait for episode 9, next week feels so long :')
I tried to sort my thoughts out but my words jumbled everywhere. Sorry T_TFirst of all, I love how the entire…
Shinobu really remembered Chiaki everywhere, in the rain, at the bar, at the station. Even in the last scene with Okano, she looked at his manga and recalled all her time with him. Huff, it's sad.
I'm glad that Hakase could turn her life better, she worked hard.
Yohei... I'm speechless lol. Some people sure never change huh.
Chiaki could change his mood quickly just from a canned coffee. From blank, tired face, to bright smile when he arrived at home. Looks like all his stresses lifted by drinking (the coffee), I mean, look at those sighs.
I'm very anxious with the new girl.
One fun detail I noticed in this episode: Chiaki now wears his shoes properly, yeay! (I'm uncomfortable with his sloppy way before hahaha)
I love Ep6 because it showed so many metaphors. I love metaphors! Lol. I hope you (or anybody) wouldn't mind if…
Shinobu decided not to divorce back then because of Yuta. She didn't want Yuta grew up become a fatherless kid. Her decision to ended her relationship with Chiaki now is also for Yuta, she wanted Yuta had normal family, at least until he's adult and can live by his own. That's why when she escaped with Chiaki (even when they're make out lol), Yuta always popped in her mind. She just loves her son so much.
I think all terrible past that Chiaki experienced also convinced her more. Chiaki is a result of bad family environment. His father is nowhere found, and his mother had affair with other man. He grew up without adults he can relied on, and even used by them. Shinobu really wished Yuta didn't have to go through those painful experience like Chiaki did, so she sacrificed her feelings.
I wish someday Yohei realizes his mistakes all this time, and I wish he realizes it when everything is so late for him hahaha. I bet he'll regrets when Shinobu finally leave him for someone she truly loves. He'll be so lonely in his old days.
The opening scene surprised me, I almost thought I downloaded the wrong drama LMAO.
As usual, you're amazing with details. I never think the temple scene interpreted that way. I wonder what they wish for.
I'm really sorry for Chiaki, it must hurt him so much to know that even his mother is not a safe place for him. He deserved a big warm hug (now that I think of it, he never get a hug. It always him giving hug to everyone).
The coffee scene, I'm curious why the staff using that tingling sound effect, it so unmatched lol.
I also feel sorry for Yuta, he's a good kid, but had to get involved in his parents affair. Shinobu should cherish him forever.
I wish I have someone to talk about how considerate and amazing of Shinobu to actually talk to Chiaki about his…
Yes. It breaks me when Shinobu asks if Chiaki was ok or not with his 'job'. He can't even answer that simple question and just replied, "but my body responded." Oh my, I can immediately imagine how adults manipulate young Chiaki to the point he didn't understand anymore. He's just a kid back then.
Btw, I think his mom knew about his job. If this is true, I'm so upset. How can she let her son walk to that path? If it were me, I'd gladly burn myself to hell rather than seeing my son prostitute himself.
About the bed scene, I feel like he did that as 'duty' or more like 'service' to comfort Shinobu.
It's kinda ironic while Shinobu and Chiaki have a feast for dinner, Yuta prepare his meal and ate it alone. I'm also amazed with him stood up for Shinobu, he definitely knew her better than his dad. I wonder if Yuta know about their affair.
EPISODE 4: Checking in to see if my raw watchers squad are doing ok... how are you guys feeling after Ep4?I just...…
I love how contrast Chiaki and Shinobu's husband in this eps. While Chiaki always ask for forgiveness all the time, the husband didn't even bother to say a single "sorry" to Shinobu.
The last scene was really disturbing, it's literally marital rape. And to make it worse, Chiaki had to listen all those noises. I'm so speechless.
But I'm not sure what it means.
