I've read some comments before that in the book it said that Kim is like Vegas - calculating and can be cruel but we see he is just his father's son with bigger moral compass( maybe after meeting Chay).
I think Korn picked Kinn for a reason - Thankun has shown to be very ontuative and smart but his extravagant persona makes him an easy target and it seems like he just want to chill and have fun and not bother with work;
Kim is obviosly just like his dad - when he has a fix on his mind he is willing to do anything to get what he wants. He has shown interest in Chay before he knew about his brother and yet had no problem to push his feelings aside and try to extort information about Porsche. I think Korn doesn't want Kim to be head of family or at least not yet , because Kim questions him too much, so Korn can't trust him fullly yet(that scene when Kim left and Korn went to check on the secret door/handle)
Kinn on the other hand is very family oriented and respectfull twards his father.He has never shown to doubt Korn and always thinks there is reasonable explanation for his actions.He is also shown that when it comes to business he has no problem to rule with sturdy hand.
I think thats why Korn picked Kinn - he is most invested into the family business and easy to keep in control, Korn ain't ready to let go of the reigns yet.

omg you just killed me with that theory, it actually makes so much sence and gives very valid reasons for Korn actions so far.
Thats why KP will always be the best, it starts with a typical love story and it grows into action/thriller/crime that always keeps you on edge.
I'm so sad now I have so many questions I want answerd and we dont even know if season 2 is official, and if it is we still have to wait year or 2 .

If the mom is faking that would be intersting twist but we will have to wait and see.
And yeah I think Vegas and Porsche make good friend duo even though they had a rocky start it seems like they have some unmentioned mutual understanding about each other.

Ohhh thats a good one, I can see why Korn would replace Vegas with Porsche as head of minor family in order to prevent future treats, but there is something deeper there. Korn faked his death and sacrificed so many ppl just so he can get rid of his brothers family and take total control over the business thinking K&P are easy to manipulate. I would definitely love to see what will happen next?

if there is a season 2 what do you think would have happend with VP? Would have they made their own mafia business, or will they be chilling in a cozy family house watching cartoons and eating southern dishes?

yeah I agree, I find the whole ball tossing between the 2 brothers who is the one who is responsible for Porsche's family trangedy was brilliant play. So far all we have seen about Korn was him playing chess and giving advice to his sons and it makes you think how doesd this guy manage to be more successful mafia boss than his brother when all he does is drink tea and enjoy the scenary. Now we actually are able to see that actually he is the master pupetier pulling the strings from the shadows not really getting involed and always getting away unscrapped.
I would love to see a deeper dive into Korn's real intentions and plans, that man is full of twists and secrets, pulling the face of gentle, harmless uncle while starting a war sacrificing the lives of not only his emplyees but his sons as well.

he has alway been sus, probably in next books there is going to be more revelation about his true nature, if lucky they gonna get translated and if we really lucky we might have a season 2 beacuse his hole arc is like leaving a window of opprotunity to develop the story further.

yeah, KP team took themselves seriosly, invested into workshops and helping actors to develop chemestry and that's why it's such a spectacular show

I mean we lucky ones, KimChay shippers are probably still recovering. Hopefully they do have a side story, their story feels unfullfilled they way it ended

I agree with every word. This ending was something else, the twists, the pain and drama.... the ending ... gosh beautiful is the only way to describe it.
Good thing I stayed for the post credits scene cuz I was ready to be depressed for a month over Vegas death. Gosh that was such a heartwarming, Macau is my spirit animal :D

Yeah, the low budget is evident, actors aren't even motivated to do their job properly, they tried to use unbuttoned shirts style on some of the cast, but it's actually laughable - it feels out of place because they look too youthful ....

It doesn't seem like the actors feel comfortable together. They are very unnatural as a couple, like the first kiss was such a bad 'angle fake kiss'. It's just ridiculous.

The story has some potential but it's poorly executed, probably they didn't have enough money invested to do more, because it looks like no one cared how is it going to come out
