Thanks! I'll keep those in mind; and if they're on Netflix, Rakuten Viki, QIYI, or Tubi, I'll add them to my watch lists. But the problem with my watch lists is that I have a bunch of movies and series on each of them already. I really do love realistic, well written/acted LGBT stories with happy endings; but I also love good horror (like The Wailing), creepy-almost-horror (like Squid Game) and comedy/horror (like Zombie Detective). And on top of that, I've totally obsessed with BTS (my profile pic is a deep-dive reference to Suga which probably no one but me will get). Sometimes I wish I didn't need to sleep!
So basically, I'm very happy to watch the recommendations you gave me above, and I thank you very much for them. I'll definitely add them to my lists. It's just that I won't be able to watch them right away. I get the feeling that you and I are equally enthusiastic about the things we like, and the only difference is that I have to split my things while yours are all in the category. I don't know about you, but sometimes I feel like I'm in way over my head. 🥴
Choi Wooshik's character and action scenes ... That's it! that's the whole movie otherwise there's no decent story…
I'd never seen Choi Wooshik play that kind of role before, and I was totally in awe of him. So evil, and yet so charismatic...and he seemed to be having a great time playing a baddie. As for my rating, I'd give the movie 7/10 overall. It's not going to blow anyone's mind despite its surprises, but it's good entertainment.
Not yet, but if they do, I hope a certain someone will return despite *seeming* to be dead at the end of Part…
Excellent! I hadn't even read anything definite about their being a Part 2, but I want one, and I'll be thrilled if Choi Woo-Shik really returns. The thing that worries me is how big a star he is now; he might not be interested in working on such a small movie, or he might demand a huge pay raise. But maybe that's just a Hollywood attitude. I'm kind of new to K-drama, but I've seen plenty of interviews with Korean actors; and every one of them - even the most famous - is lovably humble. And it seems that Choi enjoys working with Kim Da-Mi since they recently made Our Beloved Summer and have great chemistry. That would be another reason for him to return for Part 2. Fingers crossed! (And if you have a link to that article, please share it!)

It was a Korean film, so thanks for pointing me in the right direction. I haven't seen any Thai films yet, but I should have know Thailand would would be more LGBT friendly.

I tried to watch one BL movie and will never try again. Shallow and unrealistic, with nothing *truly* romantic and only one pseudo-kiss at the end which was nothing but a pair of lips touching while the the actors remained perfectly still. I want LGBT content that's deep, romantic, and acted with passion. I want more content like The Handmaiden.
