I love the discussions and analyses of the ML and FL happening in this forum. Some of them are really good analyses…
6 months. During the meeting between both of their families discussing marriage, they show a flashback of when XY and HM first met six months prior. So, I guess they dated for 6 months.
The Faithful = The DoubleGolden Branch = The GloryThe novel title that she said on the series
Both the stories she mentioned share the same screenwriter, Cao Xiao Tian. Faithful (2023, starring Janice Wu) was his work and Golden Branch (Jin Zhi) is his upcoming work.

She felt guilty because she would give birth to the baby only to save her other child. I mean, it's pretty messed up if the only reason you were born was to save someone else and your parent didn't genuinely want you. Hence why she felt guilty.
In the drama, the Marquis lost both his wife and son. The wife drank poison. The son was executed. And he is allowed to keep his title but it won't be passed down to anyone. His bloodline ended with him.

If you watch carefully in ep 1, around 2 minutes of the start, you'll notice that YuQi's arrow is still on the bow.
