Why and how was Legend of Shen Li disappointing?

Such a heart-warming show!! Made me want to visit my hometown, which I I don't even like. Yes, to have a place to return is a relief, and a privilege. Hope everyone is blessed with one 💞

OMG I had only read the plot synopsis...but now that you pointed it out, it surely does seem like GWTW!! I was in two minds about watching what with the angst and all but I have not missed a single adaptation of the book, so can't miss this one. And, it does have a happy ending, which I'm sure is better than Scarlett, the book sequel.

Also, what kind of styling and hair colour did they give my pretty Kim Dali? I didn't recognise her till the third episode!

I gave it 8.5 for the dog and of course, Cha Eun Woo. But my biggest gripe with this drama was the lack of any sort of punishment for the villain. The so-called God wreaked havoc in GENERATIONS of the FL, and he gets scott free? Even normal villains have to pay with their life or something, shouldn't a God, who raged war against hapless and helpless humans face more punishment? He not just cursed the FL's entire family line, but also played with their memories, emotions, and at times even their lives on a whim!
The poor Uncle didn't meet a woman but this asshole not just got scott free, but also reunited with his lost love?! Why did you even need 14 episodes if this is what you were going to show!

Ugh ranting made me so mad again, deducting 0.5 in the name of justice, or lack thereof.

Does the story have a lot of angst? I know the ending is tragic so if I watch it, I'll skip it. but till the ending is a lot of melodrama involved?

I did not watch the wedding episode of Lost You Forever, but I'm glad I didn't the whole series itself because the chemistry is hot! Does TTEOTM also have such good chemistry?

Don't know about the wedding but, but in the novel XL dies in the end. He has an epic epilogue too. It will break your heart and then some more, if you're an XY XL shipper like me.
